Thank you Pagen, I have put a few more from Waddington in the airshow section.
I did not have a lot of time to have a good look around it but in my opinion it is a very tidy, nice looking aeroplane. It seems at bases like Waddington and Coningsby a real effort is be made by the resident squadrons to represent their history
Whos this good looking lad in the Spit ;):) That prop is frozen in the pic but believe me its turning and the engine is making all the right noises and smells. I have sat in a Spitfire before but never one that feels alive. Thank you to Graham adlam 🙂 I thoroughly enjoyed myself. :):) My girlfriend however has had to listen to ” remember that time when I was running the engine in a Spitfire” every five minutes ever since. I cant see me stopping talking about it any time soon :D:D:D

“….but couldn’t get a decent photo of it (too much stuff around the nose).”
No chance of a good pic but it did look popular during the day.
I nipped round for a quick pic last night as I was getting dragged out by the girlfriend.

We passed the is beauty on the M180 on the way to waddington but some how he was already there and in a better spot when we arrived :)

Also saw this nice Escort van.

Thank you to EN830 for the tickets and to Graham Adlam for letting me have a go in his Spitfire :):):) If anybody does get a chance to have a go I thoroughly recomend it 🙂 Thank you to Blue2 for some one to talk aeroplanes to for a bit, my girlfiend (first airshow) was doing well but I must have been getting a bit boring by that point:D
My first Vulcan display since Finningley 92. The maneuvers were not as rivet popping as I remember but it did not matter one bit. It was still awesome in every way. When those throttles go forward, it goes into the climb, the sun glints off the upper surfaces, all that noise and the lovely wing over at the top it is still magic.
The Vulcan was Magic but it was difficult for it to steel the show this year, the display was quality all the way through and went on for ever. High lights for me being Vulcan, Team Viper, Typhoon/Spitfire, Gr4 role demo, Harrier, Belgium airbus/F16, Reds 8 ship, ect ect ect OK nearly all of it.
The only problem with such a full quality display line up is there were not many of those displays where you think I will have a quick look around while this is on :) still I had a quick look around before leaving and I think even the ground displays were better than last year.
I know I am pratteling on but it is only fair, last year I (like many) realy nocked the show. This year the organisers, be it because they listened to us or just had more oppertunities, created a real quality show.

Me too, an excellent show from start to finish. 😎

TO – It is being considered for the `Reds` when the funding cuts hit
Blue2 – Me too, it is not there yet 🙂 Give me a buzz tomorrow, I think its your round :p
The airfield attacks sound good. It looks like the BoB sequence, Tornados and Vulcan will be using pyros. Even the GF is looking forward to seeing them :)
Some good noisy stuff, Typhoon, Gripen and F16.
All we need now is a suprise B1 B. Please Mr reeves, please :):)
Thank you for that TO. So VTS are now saying it definitely will be there at 14.00 both days. I hope all is going well at Brize.
A few days ago I did consider saying I would run the flight line in a mankini if the Vulcan made it to Waddington. I would be hesitant to make that bet now :D:D:D:D
Nice pics “eh”. Thank you for sharing.
Cant wait to see those Strikemasters and Hunters.
Looks like a Globalhawk in the background of the Stars pics.
I thought this short excert from the recent Yorkshire Air museum Newsletter maybe of interest.
`…and after 18 years the Phantom actually looks as if it will be transferred, thanks to the good offices of our colleagues at RAF Museum Hendon.
Ian Reed. Museum Director. Newsletter 71.
