I am not really sure, it will be an expensive Su-27 class aircraft which will be expensive to maintain and maybe to buy. I cant see that many being exported. India and few others may buy some, but China is a prolly a no no since they’re building their own 5th gen J-12.

Thats like by next year it will be rolled out and now we dont even have any good drawings of what the PAK-FA might look like.

Yes teh whole competition was a JOKE. From a plan to buy 150 brand new planes, to buying 12 new planes, to buying few second hand airframes, which are not even that advanced compared to what they get.

A large country like Brazil settles for used airplanes.

Mig-25s would’ve been carrying R-40s. The F-16s would’ve been flying at a lower altitude, but the Mig-25 with it’s limited look down capability would’ve detected them a lot sooner. Not only this, but there is no way a F-16A WILL EVER shoot down a Mig-25 at a higher altitude with any AIM-9 version. Even Sparrows will have huge problems launched from a lower altitude to hit a fast flying Mig-25.

Ye the SU-34 seems like a very nice aircraft, just a matter of time before they integrate all those goodies on it like Yakhonts, Alfas Kh-59Meh and other stuff.

It will be powered by 4 turbo fan engines, not 4 turbo props. As it seems China does not have a good enough indigneous turbo fan engine to get away with a twin engined design like the Tu-330/Il-214 that Russia is making now, instead it will have twice as more engines for an aircraft similar size of the Tu-330/Il-214

What does everyone think of the Skjold, it seems to be the most capable FAC in the World in my eyes? Stealthy, extremely fast, lots of capable and stealthy NSMs.

That would be one heck of a powerful AF
    2 Squadrons of Su-30MKs
    4 Squadrons of Mig-29SMTs
    6 Il-76 Tankers
    22 Su-24MKs
    Some Mig-25PD/RBs left over

Mig-21s have been retired and Mig-23s will be replaced as it seems by these newer aircraft. thats a pretty capable airforce.

Put 2 squadrons of F-15Ds, and the 4 squadrons of F-16Cs on the island base(ur most advanced aircraft). The tankers and AWACS can fly from the mainland bases due to their long range, and Mig-29s and Mirage-2000s and F-4s might as well be on the mainland too, since i cannot put them on the island base.

this one was pretty dumb if u ask me.

    another BS articles
1)IAF did not simulate any r-77s, the only aircraft that participated in that exercise that could simulate R-77 is Mig-21-93, the Su-30K cannot(only R-27)
2)IAF cannot simulate any MICAs, they have older Mirage-2000s with older radars and cannot simulate Active BVRAAMs
3)Now, I dont think the F-15Cs participating in this exercise had the AESA radar, I remember US refusing to bring in their AESA equipped Eagles because Indians refused to bring in their Su-30MKIs(their best aircraft). I am not 100% sure that AIM-120s participated, but im pretty confident they were simulated against r-27s and super530s

    Few questions regarding the Gorshkov.
1)Is India going to keep the Granit missiles on the Gorshkov? If not, what will replace them on the deck? or are there not going to be any SSMs there at all for more space?
2)What is the maximum number of Mig-29Ks that can be operated from the Gorshkov during wartime?

Well this is still a smaller country, yes they have more money, but I dont think they can afford F-22s and whatever.

SO as it seems there is no threat of submarines, nor do u really need to equip your Airforce with some heavy transports. As it seems you really want to emphasize on Anti-Shipping and Deep Strike abilities.

    Retire F-8s
    Retire A-4s

-Keep twin seater F-5s for training, air defense and some strike, upgrade them to the Israeli standard (Tiger III+) with Python 5, Derby for Air Defense, and as well as a secondary strike role of CAS/Interdiction, with Nimrod, SPICE and various Israeli PGMs. If you do not have enough twin seaters, buy many more from anywhere.
-A good and redundant GCI system
-Purchase some Su-30MKIs from India/Russia. As well as buying various weapons with them such as R-73MRD2, R-77M-PD, R-37, P-900 Alfa, Brahmos-A for Anti-Shipping as well as strike, various Russian PGMs, and since it’s an Indian computer onboard, it may be possible to integrate some Israeli weapons on it.
-Purchase a few S-400 batteries, like 2-3 should be able to cover a whole cpountry like Tunisia.
-A few BUK-M2 batteries in a layered Air Defense system. These can be placed only on the most important spots.
-Integrate everything in a large Air Defense system to work together, the GCI, S-400s, F-5s, Su-30MKIs and BUK-M2s.

-A few Ground Launched Brahmos batteries on my coast, to protect my coast from enemy’s navy.
-You may buy ships and stuff for your navy, perhaps lots of smaller fast attack boats also to protect your coast, like the stealthy Skjold with NSMs which can be guided by Su-30MKIs where to fire them. This will also give the carrier fleet a nightmare. The NSM can also be used in the anti-surface role, so you may be able to attack his ports and such. These things go 100km/h and should be able to do hit and run attacks all over the place.

The Kuznetsov should not be a big problem, considering the few Mig-29Ks and Harriers will stand no chance when a ****load of Su-30MKIs fly towards them, and fire their Brahmos and air launched Klubs all over the place. The Skjolds can also help out a lot.
