Why wouldn’t the F-18E/F allow “further interoperability with US forces?

The F-18E/F would be much much cheaper to get because it would be significantly cheaper than F-35, and don’t forget the infrastructure to support it is already there.

I just wan’t to know what significant advantages does F-35 hold over F-18E/F besides supercruise, low observability, little lower life cycle costs? anything else?

And I still think it is overkill. Do you like to use them like wolga-dniepr airlines in international heavy transport buiseness ? Otherwise, what do you want to transport ? Even the Il-76/78 is to big and expansive for Kyrgyzstan.
I still think the heli-combo Mi-17/Mi-26 is by far the best for a country like Kyrgyzstan. Standart transports can be done with the -17, while trucks and tanks can be transported with the -26. Maybe the STOL An-72 if you prefer fixed wing aircraft.

You know what’s funny, an An-124 was sold as low as 38mn dollars although would be safe to assume it would be around 45-50mn, and AN-72’s quoted price is around 35mn.

The Ruslan ? Overkill, and where do you
get them, I think only two
    uncompleted could be sold to
    any body. Buiseness use ?
F-18C/D ? like you said, better
    something
    that is in production.
    SH/UH-60 seems o.k.

    BO-105 & AH-6 Why both ? You can get
    AH-6 with TOW’s too.

Super Tucano, everytime a good choice.

C-130 normally o.k., but in this special
case I would rather use some
    An-72 or better a Mi-26
I don’t know if AEW, tankers and such stuff are really needed and within the budget.

    You’re thinking of An-225, I was thinking of the An-124 😛

If you read I put OR inbetween the lines, meaning pick one or the other, whichever one suits you the best. I also will update teh AF now

I like my Mig-29/Su-39 combos or F-18 + AV-8 Combos, although the Mig-29 and F-18 should be similar the Su-39 is better at CAS than AV-8 but AV-8 is more flexible and can operate from anywhere and not to mention can perform Air Defense and Anti Shipping and bunch of other stuff.

    Main:

-Russian Option: Mig-29M1/M2 Fulcrum(AA, Strike, Recoinassance, etc) + Su-39 Frogfoot(CAS, Strike, etc) + Yak-130(Advanced Training, Helicopter Hunting, Light CAS/Strike, etc)
    OR
American Option: F/A-18C/D Hornet(AA, Strike, Recoinassance, etc) + AV-8B Harrier II(Limited Air Defense, CAS, Strike, etc) + T/A-50 Golden Eagle(Advanced Training, Helicopter Hunting, Light CAS/Strike, etc)

-C-130 Variants(AWACS, Cargo, Transport, Patrol, SAR, Airlift, Tankage, etc) + An-124 Condor(Strategic Heavy Cargo/Transport, etc)
    OR
    Il-76MF-100 Candid(Strategic Heavy/Cargo, Transport, Airlift) + Il-78M Midas(Tankage) + A-50I/U AWACS

-H-60 Black Hawk & Other Variants(Utility, Cargo, etc)

-Super Tucano(Basic Training, COIN, Helicopter Hunting, Patrol, etc)

-H-6 Variants(CAS/Anti Tank, COIN, Scout, Escort, Fire Support, etc)
    OR
BO 105/PAH-1(CAS/Anti Tank, COIN, Scout, Escort, Fire Support, SAR, Transport, etc)

    Optional/Secondary:

    -SAMs are secondary
    S-400(Long range SAM)
    Any other Medium/Short Ranged SAM
-Heavy/Medium Attack Helicopters are an option
    Tiger/Mi-28N/Attack Versions of H-60(CAS/Anti-Tank, etc)
    -More expensive options

Russian: Su-37 Super Flanker(AA, Strike, Recoinassance, etc) -instead of Mig-29M1/M2

American: F-35A(AA, Anti-Shipping, Strike, Recoinassance, etc) + F-35B(AA, Anti-Shipping, Strike, CAS, Recoinassance, etc) -instead of F/A-18C/D + AV-8B Harrier II

    French: Rafale F3(AA, Strike, Recoinassance, etc)(F3M Carrier Capable) + PAH-2 Tiger(CAS/Anti Tank, COIN, Scout, Escort, Fire Support, Helicopter Hunting, etc) -instead of Mig-29M1/M2 + Su-39/F/A-18C/D + AV-8B Harrier II, H-6 Variants/BO 105/PAH-1

What amazes me about the Mig 1.44 is that it’s said to have 12 internal hardpoints which is like amazing, I mean F-22 has something like 8 internal hardpoints and I think dimensionally it’s bigger and wider than 1.44

    I really wonder what’s it’s range is.

I wonder what China and Russia could really gain from those F-117 parts from Serbia?

I mean it’s hard to have a wrong answer in a make your own air force thread, but also why would they need anti shipping planes? I guess shooting at small canoes in a small muddy river but that’s more a target for rockets, cannons or at the most a guided bomb. But hitting a wooden canoe with a AGM-84 seems like over kill…

Of course they do have some sort of huge lake/small sea in their own nation so they could play admiral sailing a carrier in the middle of their very land locked nation.

And of course the ASW would protect this carrier from the “imaginary” submarines that threaten their “imaginary” coastlines which would require an “imaginary” carrier to counter them.

Like I said, I pasted it only from my other forums, you could forget about ASW, Anti Shipping stuff and go along with what I’ve put.

Maybe RAAF might not want it but your MoD and PM will stick it to them.

SH might not be exactly cutting edge but cannot you afford to wait till 2015 for the F-35, and the F-111s are due to be retired in 2010 if you are hoping to relace them with F-35s.

Don’t forget F-35 cannot really replace the F-111, it’s range kinda sucks too and it cannot carry as much as F-111, it only has 4 internal hardpoints. F-35 just cannot do deep strike

F-18E/F cannot really do deep strike like F-111 can, but replacing F-111 with F-35 or F-18E/F is the same thing, both wouldn’t be able to do that job of deep strike.

Besides can Australia really wait for F-35 till 2015?

looks like a much bigger delta wing.

China should just give up on the damn Mig-21s.

Anyways, what do you think of my AF, shouldn’t be that expensive to run in General as most of those aircraft are pretty maintenance friendly. Also the support and maintenance should be much easier for all those C-130 Variants, H-60 Variants and other Aircraft.

I was also thinking of changing the F-18C/D since it is no longer in production which means you cannot get them new.

I really want to know what kind of big advantages does the F-35 really hold over F-16blk60 besides stealth?

yes but the F-18E/F still has a 30% better range than a normal F-18C/D, doesn’t it?

Ohh that was just my copy and paste from other threads/forums of the AF.
