the Bison is an new upgrade of an old airframe

the F7PG is a new air frame based on an old design. big difference.

Almost all of the stuff in the Bisons were replaced and extensive riveting was done you can see this one the pictures at Bharat Rakshak.

NO BVR though while the Bisons have BVR capability + better jammer and HMS 😎 + R 73.

This was discussed to death in another thread lol. And the serviceability must be higher since only the capable Mig 21s were upgraded to the Bison standard. 😉

Like I said before as time goes by Iran’s hand is getting stronger and stronger. And the stronger one becomes, the more daring he will be. And I do not believe that Israel will ever hold talks with a holocaust denying regime. And the moderates returning to power in iran may have to wait a long time, israel may not want to risk waiting that long and letting Iran get nukes.

By the way I have asked this question before and no body answered, how do Iran’s Airforce at the moment compare to Israels.

    A Greek Mirage 2000 has shot down a Turkish f 16, I think accidentally.

On 8 October 1996[5], during the escalation over Imia/Kardak a Greek Mirage 2000 fired an R550 Magic 2 and shot down a Turkish F-16D (serial 91-0023) over the Aegean Sea, the only confirmed F-16 lost in air-to-air warfare. The pilot died, while the co-pilot ejected and was rescued by Greek forces.

No one is assuming that. But the Pakistani government is a hostage to its military. Every time it wants to have good relations with India it faces severe internal pressure not to do so.

Musharraf for example had to take a lot of stick for the Indian peace process but under his strong leadership especially after the 2001 parliament attacks, things were much better.

The current government cannot control the millitary and the millitary in itself is divided into Pro Taliban ISI elements and the others.

We all understand this but its difficult for another country who is targetted by pakistani terrorists to deal with this.

What is the point in holding talks with a government which cannot keep its house in order? At least with Musharraf we knew we were dealing with undisputed leader of Pakistan.

But this would be the Ideal time to strike Iran. The Obama administration may call for further restraint.

Agrees to your last post 🙂

The problem is they take refuge in peoples homes etc. And the only way to tackle this is a ground based op, but Israel is not willing to pay the price and hence they are bombing.
