What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup?
The Italian – throws the cup, breaks it, and walks away in a fit of rage.
The German – carefully washes the cup, sterilizes it and makes a new cup of coffee.
The Frenchman – takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.
The Chinese – eats the fly and throws away the coffee.
The Russian – Drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.
The Israeli – sells the coffee to the Frenchman, the fly to the Chinese, drinks tea and uses the extra money to invent a device that prevents flies from falling into coffee.
The Palestinian – blames the Israeli for the fly falling in his coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the Frenchman, the Chinese, the German and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of tea to the Palestinian.
We have the exact joke here in India 😮 the Israeli replaced with an Indian and the Palestinian with a Pakistani.
Anyway like DA said, you sell AWACS and fighter designs to the Chinese, they will eventually sell it to your enemies.

You missed my point. I understand Egypt well. I am asking why the West does not put pressure on the Egyptians to give Gaza a connection to the world, while stopping arms smuggle. They can do it bu they don’t want to as long as no one is demanding it.
Most of these Arab states are now friendly with Israel only because of immense pressure from America and the West. But there is to be a fine balence between local voices and foriegn pressure or another Iranian style revolution will be the result.
Same is true with the current Pakistan government. It has to thread a fine balence between international demands and local anti west sentiments.

It is not that simple. If you do not like the parties listed for election, you can built up an own party or strengthen some more realistic politicans. None party is monolithic and has fractions to struggle for power. As the demonstrations in Thailand did show. A group of determined persons can change something in short notice. Democracy is not limited to election day. 😉
Your Idea of laying responsibility on Civilians so that bombing them is ‘ok’ is not supported in any international or UN conventions.

Same reason they had to have the biggest helicopter, biggest cargo aircraft, biggest rocket, biggest submarine. They like to wave it around, even though the rest of the world sees it for what it is and is sniggering behind their hands at them.
The biggest Helicpoter the Mi 26 was used for many purposes. They were used to contain the wildfire in Greece and lift the Frozen Mammoth etc etc. So i guess no sniggering there either. 😉

Democracy in most countries is indirect and people only elect their representative(s) who do as they wish in office. In some countries the foriegn policy will remain the same with both candidates and it may not be liked by the majority of the people. So where is the shared responsibility in that

Can you remind me when was the last time that Netanyahu has threatened to destroy another country!
Yes, he may be a hardliner. Israel needs this to survive in the middle east jungle. But I just love it when you find him comparable to the Iranian madman who threatens Israel day and night with extermination, and works hard to get nuclear weapons for his country, which is not under any danger.
Tell me: Iran has no border with Israel, why does it threaten it all the time?
I am only comparing Netanyahu and Ahmejinedad because they represent conservative core of their respective countries. I have not made any comparison of their personality.
Iran has no open borders with Israel and should have very few issues as they are Persians and Israel is fighting the Arabs mostly. Their involvement in the issue is largely political and its because of this that any solution to this issue should be reached by talks between Iran and Israel. You cannot engage Hamas or PLO when Iran is working to sabotage this. Before ahmejinedad when Iran was run by a slightly moderate regime, that was the time for talks. Now i don’t think Israel should or would hold talks with a Holocaust denier like ahmejinedad.
Just know this that the longer Israel takes to implement the two state solution the worst it will be for them.
I am not anti Israel, but choking supplies and bombing Gaza is the easy way. Sending special forces to capture key members is a better choice.

With all due respect, this cavalier attitude to the possibility of a conflict between two nuclear armed states with questionable early warning systems along with relatively poor command and control capabilities is a little flippant.
Any sane individual will not wish that these two states ever come to blows again. The possibility of an escalation into a nighmare scenario is way too scary to contemplate if you ask me. Both sides have competent professional military institutions and any conflict will be bloody in the extreme.
I wonder how many of you will call for restraint when terrorism comes home calling ? Like it does regularly in India ?
I really think my country will not restrain itself and is willing to pay the price of a final war with Pakistan in case of further attacks.
