I meant wvr the f 18 don’t stand a chance 😀 and when the captor e is out typhoons dominance will be complete
The avionics is the only advantage SH have in a2a
I will be very surprised if the ‘Stealth’ non-stealth thing would be like the Space-Pen, pencil thing of years gone by.
One indication that the stealth is working is because the Russians and Chinese are working on stealthy designs themselves.
🙂
There was setback after setback but pride or not. We are going to have 140 operational aircraft, the defense minister is quite sure about it and in India the civilians decide the millitary accept. 😀
I guess Mig is going to die if Mig 35 fails to find export customers. Death of a legend. The posted design looks sleek tho 😀
Lebanon should apply for protectorate status from some Arab League or something tbf. I hate to see the sovereignty of the country violated by its neighbours and Hezbollah ruling the streets. Get this to work and they can have Saudi EFs patrolling their borders 😎
Yeah it had an accident killing some crew. Which caused a furor among the leftists here, don’t think Americans are to blame for it though.
But Russian accidents happen before they deliver 🙁 like in the cause of the subs.
You do a claim based on what? Please give the related details. 😉
The F404IN has the same thrust like the Kaveri up to specifications.
http://www.idrw.org/2008/03/25/panel_to_scout_for_engine_for_tejas.html
No you got me wrong there let me rephrase it. Kaveri was to replace the F 404 since it won’t be ready we are going to get a higher thrust foreign engine…..Higher thrust when compared to F404 not Kaveri.
Kaveri was the intended engine for the LCA always. F 404 was a stopgap till it was ready. So since it won’t be ready LCA will an engine with similar thrust…
Apparently it cannot and that is why they are going for a new engine. The F 404 was always meant to be a stop gap till the kaveri is ready, since its not going to be ready, they are going for a higher thrust foreign engine.
If there are serious problems with the wings and designs, i do not think they would even be considering the upgrade to MK2.
Like I said western Cockpits do look pretty while the MKIs one has good functionality even though its looks can;t match
Another view of the typhoon cockpit, shows some switches and analogue controls

Mig 35

have to say looks decent
F 18 E/F Super Hornet. Front Cockpit.

Have to say even this is not on par with the EF, Gripen and JSF or Mig 35
Will probably used to repel Israeli raids. Then again that’s like writing the ac off.
Gripen’s look neat and tidy, like most western ones. :D. But I think that its not beyond HAL to sort out the avionics.
As for the HUD, there was an article posted in BR about the new one. It seems to be down at the moment, will post when its up.
The MFDs are LCD. They may need an upgrade though. But the MKI and Mig 21 Bison and Mig 27 upgrades have High Contrast LCD MFDs integrated by HAL, so that will not be much of a problem.
There is nothing that cannot be sorted out in the next few years.
Mki Cockpit

To accommodate them a few helicopters must be sacrificed, but its unlikely that Vicky would have space for 3-4.
The U.S cannot offer as much ToT as the Russians can. And apart from the Super Carriers and Fifth Gen fighters, there is always a Russian alternative for American weaponry. And then there is Israel and France.
Its suffering from weight problems because the IAF needs more from the fighter than it initially wanted. And the more the equipment the more the weight. I think the current F 404 cannot handle the added weight of the AESA. May be that’s the reason why the IAF wants to wait for the MK2 before it places any new orders.
There is very little in the public realm with regards to the current avionics. The cockpit and HUD are state of the art. And HAL will consider the integration of newer avionics as the easier part. The MKI is heavier than a clean Su 30 so i guess it does. 😀 Then again it also has an engine and radar upgrade coming.
