I think this is bull. Russia will not do something that would rile China nor would India.
According to Shiv Aroor
It has been confirmed that the US-chartered An-124 which was intercepted and grounded in Mumbai last night has on board the following items: Two Stryker armoured combat vehicles, an uncomfirmed number of BGM-71 TOW anti-tank munitions, M242 gun ammunition, a consignment of explosive reactive armour tiles for US armoured vehicles and a large consignment of helicopter/aircraft spares, ancillaries and aggregates.
MIGs are better at Kamikaze jobs i guess 😐
In the civillian space, Tata motors was not able to compete with Korean and Japanese assembly units in India. It’s own Tata Indica was an Italian licence design, complete with a foreign engine. It had to innovate with the Nano.
All of Tatas early models were Mecedez rip offs.
Bajaj Tempos Trax was a G class rip off 🙂
Indica actually had an Indian engine. It was designed with the help of an Italian firm.
Also what does ‘Precise bombs’ mean Laser guided bombs ? 😐 its a pity the thing is still testing dumb bombs and all that instead of radar guided missiles.
I’d say that Indian purchases of US stuff in transpoort/patrol sector reduce US chances for MRCA slightly. But whether this will be anywhere near decisive… ?
Flex I believe if the rumors of a numbers increase in the MRCA order are true then the American jets, MIG and Gripen stands great chance in winning the order.
I don’t believe India can afford 189 Rafales or Eurofighters at the moment.
The only thing that makes apple good is the ‘exclusivity’ factor. This is why Apple cannot afford to lower prices of their products, when everyone has an i phone its not a style statement anymore !
There mite yet be one troll left to settle……..
Calling people trolls for mere disagrements is not nice.
Ok what I believe in 2025
MMRCA – 160+ 50-60 to be delivered (follow own orders)
MKI – 225+
LCA – 150-200
PAK FA- 50+ (deliveries ongoing)
Mig 29/M2K – 90+
JAG – 80+
Shutting down a whole enquiry because your customer threatened to cancel its order is corruption just the same.
Corruption doesn’t necessarily involve just money you know.
Nic
Actually UK government did the right thing. I really don’t like scandals which are determinant to ones military or military industry.
In India the army cannot get light howitzers anymore because all the major makers are blacklisted for bribing .
If the chosen product is comparable in quality with the competitors its hardly worth the bother. Its mostly foriegn money coming to their pockets not like they are stealing from the poor :-“.
The worst dogfights I have seen are in Battlefield 2 :|. The J 10 is almost invulnerable in that.
🙂
That settles the TR modules issue once and for all then. Cheers swerve 🙂
Abhimanyu.. IAF is CONTEMPLATING enhancing the 126 MMRCA to 189.. 😀
I won’t be surprised if about 200-300 would be inducted eventually. This is why I believe we would go for the cheaper options (F 16 IN, Gripen NG Super Hornet) and not Rafale or EF.
India U.S Ties 🙂
Matt that report is wrong becuase Shiv Aroor in his flash news section of his blog says that representatives of all competing firms are in India and that trials would begin this year. So says the above news report by Himanshu.

India-Britain naval games in the Atlantic Ocean from June 20
New Delhi (PTI): A task group of the Navy will hold the Konkan naval war games with the Royal Navy off Portsmouth in southern Britain next week.
The Navy task group, led by the Guided Missile Destroyer INS Delhi and comprising stealth Frigates INS Beas and INS Brahmaputra, and the tanker INS Aditya, will reach Portsmouth on June 17, Navy officers said here on Friday.
Konkan, an annual exercise, will take place from June 20 to 25 and will focus on anti-submarine warfare manoeuvres, apart from anti-air and anti-surface skills including specialist boarding operations, officers said.
Since 2004, four such Konkan Indo-British exercises have been held and this will be the first in the series to be conducted in UK waters.
The Royal Navy contingent, commanded by Commodore Simon Ancona, would include frigates HMS Westminster and HMS Lancaster, the nuclear powered submarine HMS Trafalgar, the auxiliaries RFA Mounts Bay and RFA Fort Rosalie and an RAF Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft.
A team of Indian Navy divers will also be conducting Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) training with the Plymouth-based Southern Diving Group.
The task group, under the command of Western Fleet Flag Officer Commanding Rear Admiral Surinder Pal Singh, is currently on a four-month long deployment in the Arabian Sea, Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean since April and will return to India only in the first week of August.
I get back from my YF-23 pilgrimage to the USAF Museum.
Post a few new pics that you take of Yf 23 as well 🙂
