My condolences to all the victims and their families.
Is there a French version of the article? (I don’t speak Flemish, despite the fact I was a resident of Belgium for four years)

What happened then was partly a result of the aircraft being placed in crosswind.
Part 2:
15th July
LHR-FCO
BA548
910-1235 (Italy is 1 hour ahead of Israel)
2h25m
Arrived at T1 at about 0730, and as I had managed to get Club Europe on this leg, check-in was speedy (no line at all! :)).
I trapised around T1, buying Stupid White Men by Michael Moore (great book, you should read it) and spotting. The fire alarm went off in one of the concourses (anyone know of this?), and the entire concourse was closed.
Boarding took place at Gate 25. BA had changed the aircraft from an A319 to a B757.
The flight was very nice in all facets but one, I had found pre-chewed gum in my safety card (ick). The breakfast was eggs and sausage, very tasty, but the orange juice had no taste at all (I drank it anyway) Marvelous views of the French Alps.
Departure was 9 minutes behind schedule, Arrival was 15 minutes behind schedule.
$39 roundtrip BKK-CNX-BKK! :)!
Tsk, tsk. Another American corporation given tax grants by the Shrub.
Ryanair should do this……….

The Sun doesn’t even qualify as a rag.
Very classy picture!
Agreed.
Here we go, at TLV last Friday, spotted with photos, but photos confiscated by authorities. :(. But still have a list:
El Al B747-400
El Al B777-200
El Al B737-800
Arkia B757-300
Israir B757-200
Lufthansa B747-400 (yes, LH flies a B747 between FRA and TLV, very big route)
Alitalia A321-200 (finally, an Airbus!)
El Al B767-200
Arkia Dash-7
Israir ATR-42
Pulkovo Tupolev TU-154
Royal Wings Dash-8-300
Turkish B737-800
Sky Airlines B737-400
British Airways B767-300ER
My rarest sightings? The elusive Pulkovo Tu-154, Arkia Dash-7 and the Sky B737-400.
Why is Beirut so bad? I heard it was a nice airport.
WD- I believe the pilot landed at an AFB a few miles south of his destination of Corpus Christi. this was about 10 years ago.
Best: It’s a three-way tie between Heathrow (family favourite), Singapore (absolutely marvelous…) and HKG, no wonder Skytrax calls it the world’s best. Narita and JFK Terminal 7 tie for second, Shanghai and White Plains, NY coming in at third.
Worst: JFK Terminals 4 & AA Int’l, dull, gray and hellish. And very disorganized and crowded. Never again! And in second- KUL. Immigration is hell, too narrow, and too many lines to wait in. And way too far from KL.
Third worst is my home airport……TLV. This Jerusalem resident thinks the security is ridiculous and immigration is hell for non-Israeli passport holders (I am a citizen of Belgium, I became one while living there), and check-in takes forever. Good links to the rest of Israel and excellent shops and cafes saved it from worse.
Oy! Didn’t something like this happen in Texas a while ago with Continental?
Well, what about all those families, now who have to survive with no income? Have you thought of them?
“What was that?”
