I don’t think Norm has actually posted them yet, as I have a slight change in plans, and will be bringing a YL with me and had to ask for an extra ticket JIC she wants to come in too (probably won’t, but you can’t trust YL’s IME). Norm said no prob, 2 will be in post.

I’m going to try and make EK too – but the 11.30 runup might be a tad optimistic – I’m going to leave here at 4am!!!

My understanding is that there will be a high tech “battle bus” travelling to airshows and when not flying to schools and other educational establishments.

Gotta say, I’d love that job.

1). The customer must trust you.

2). The customer must have confidence in you.

Really? I have customers who trust me, and they have confidence in me too. Didn’t stop my business going to the wall 🙁

I simply didn’t have enough of them !!!!

Now the question is does the fact that the Defiant served with No 22 AACU in No 2 (Indian) Group RAF qualify the Defiant as having served with the Indian Air Force, or were some of the Defiants that survived until January 1947 brought back on charge by the RIAF after independence as target tugs or in some other capacity?

    .

My guess is “YES”. India didn’t become independant of The Empire until 1947 – it is highly likely that the RIAF and the RAF were the same thing with different names. So any aircraft SOC by the RAF may have simply been absorbed into local RIAF without any records denoting a switch in ownership.

Have I missed something, or got something wrong? I thought the day of Wed 23rd was the EK day – before the BBMF evening?

Is everyone reading “The Sky Suspended” at the moment? There seems to be an unusual number of BP Defiant mentions.

Not complaining, of course, merely curious.
