Be careful when searching for “The Hun” you might not get what you quite expect. Be especially careful about allowing Minors to see The Hun’s website!!!!!!!!
You’ll note I haven’t included a link!
Ahhh Middle Wallop – not been there – what’s to see?
This is an astounding project, something I’ve also (I mean I can only) dreamed of.
Will you be adding any motion systems to the cockpit so that when you, say, induce a roll, the cockpit will roll too?
Or is that just a little too far ahead to think of at the moment?
And here’s a little tip – you could make a few pounds (and I do mean a few) by putting in links to the reference (and any other relevant) books so that interested parties can buy them via Amazon. If you register with you’ll get a percentage of the income from the sales and it is very very easy to do.
I’ve got some from Old Warden last year: –
How to vote:
Simply take the Post number the picture appears in (it is top right of the posting box – next to the “reputation” scales) then count down the photographs in that post something like:
p3-2
Should do the trick.
Varsity (Flying Pig as we knew it at Finningley) was my first throught too, but I wouldn’t want to commit myself as I don’t consider myself an expert in aircraft recognition.
Does anyone know which was the last Varsity at Finningley? I only ever saw the one, and it was in deep maintenance throughout my entire stay there (about 6 months) in the Engineering hanger in late 1973/4.
I simply enjoyed it – yes I noticed some of the common mistakes, but they didn’t matter one jot to me. I was actually pleased to see the scale SE5’s – I took the view that the cameraman simply didn’t get the angle quite right to make them look the right scale through foreshortening. (You know what I mean.)
Let Voting Commence
Please vote for your favourite picture from those above, here
Thanks to everyone for their patience, and good luck to everyone.
Don’t vote for me, please – I’m the sponsor.
And if you do, apart from the fact that my head will swell beyond recognition, I will be forced to ignore those votes.
😀
Look at all those noisy silver front line interceptors
More please!
Oooops sorry, forgot say (although it’s all been said before) Fantastic pictures everyone.
