Fantastic photo
Very sad news indeed..
I will always remember you for leading the Breitling Fighters.. IMO the best airshow act ever.
RIP
I used to watch a Prentice fly from Bassingbourne quite offten in the 90’s.. The pilot talked of how it had a severe tendancy to want to drop into a spin all the time, And have to say it looks that way in flight from the ground.
The saying goes ‘If it looks right,it’ll fly right’ … I dont think the Prentice is quite there in the ‘Look right’ department..
I have many of his books and have always bought his books on his name alone…
A big loss…. RIP Roger
Whilst work on the Gladiator is priority, work on the Beaufighter continues six days a week! Sorry the wife says seven days!

Avro’s Finest- I have zero recollection of anything you did or did not contribute, but I do not understand the logic in starting a thread which, in essence, has no subject.
Then why post a pointless post in a pointless thread… twice.
I learnt to drive on The main Runway there… Never got into the tower though… Must get that Dvd….. Cheers Bluenoser
I Thought She flew her 25th on the 17th May 1943…. To France…. ? I drive past the main runway at Bassingbourn everyday… Not once without a thought for the boys from the 91st..
