    Indeed there is a Strip inbetween Reed and Buckland.. Can be seen on the Buckland to Barkway road…

    I used to watch a Prentice fly from Bassingbourne quite offten in the 90’s.. The pilot talked of how it had a severe tendancy to want to drop into a spin all the time, And have to say it looks that way in flight from the ground.
    The saying goes ‘If it looks right,it’ll fly right’ … I dont think the Prentice is quite there in the ‘Look right’ department.. :rolleyes:

    I Thought She flew her 25th on the 17th May 1943…. To France…. ? I drive past the main runway at Bassingbourn everyday… Not once without a thought for the boys from the 91st..
