    Today i have been hanging my Shackleton front engine cowl &spinner to the wall of my shed.

    And putting my Lancaster/Mosquito (later modified for Dakota use) propeller together.

    I’m sure someone will be along to update whats happened to the Firefly parts as I’m unsure if its yet common knowledge. All I will say is its found a good home.

    Yes the Firefly sections are safely housed with another Firefly cockpit section
    down in deepest Devon.:)

    Stuart,Do you have any more detail photos of WF145?

    Tony, you could try to sand of each layer with a fine abrasive like 220 or 280; this is the technique I used to reveal the queens crown and the legend “by appointment” on xw541.

    The second photo is wf145, clearly it has been chemically stripped by a previous owner, although it worked, I do think they were lucky that the stripper didn’t take the lot off!

    If you are reffering to a North yorkshire collector who has a grip with one of these weights ,It is incorectly labeled .
    The Swordfish didnt have this grip weight!
