Very impressive collection! Do you know the purpose of the shroud on the first grip? It looks a very big just to hold a button.
It’s actually a balance weight ,inside the casing is full of steel shot &weighs about 1lb.
Unique to the Firefly.
Only an A.E.W.3 grip.
Here is some of my stuff.

Len Parker at Reno is restoring Firefly WD833.
As mentioned ,oil coolers the same as the one in the diagram were used on Fireflies, but yours is not from a Firefly (the inlet & outlet ports are slightly different)
So out of the three types (that i can think of ) this ruled out the Firefly.
So either Mosquito or Hornet?
Sorry, what I was trying to determine was whether this particular type is for a Mosquito. The fact that it is 50″ long tended to rule out certain other types.
“The question is, did they ever use a thin oil cooler like this mounted behind a full width radiator”
Firefly Mks 4,5,&6, also used this arangement.
A couple of photos.
The mkV was fitted to the Hawker Tornado, a close relative of the Typhoon.
So either it is unique ,or were Mk V Vultures fitted to other aircraft?
Get bidding then, it`s just what you want isn`t it?
Pete
I have already made an offer, but he wants twice as much as the engine that you told me about recentley.
From what i have heard it has had its internals removed!
Vulture Mk V plate
Hi,
I have a Vulture Mk V, main plate.
Having seen references to the Rolls Royce Vulture mk I & II as being fitted to the Avro Manchester.
I have not been able to find any reference to a Rolls Royce Vulture Mk V !
Does any one know about this mark of Vulture?
cheers
The undercarrige leg is definitly Sea Otter!
There were several single seat sea Vampires at the yard.
No these are single seat Vampire cockpits.
