Wonder if JET2 will ever start up in Scotland, i think Aberdeen and Prestwick have potential.
They already operate in Scotland, but with minimal routes from EDI.
They havent really shown much expansion though. There are always rumours od EDI-MAN being cut.
Cant see PIK being a base. FR would murder them.
Could be what they are doing now.
If that was the case you could book flights on their website with a GLA departure, but you cant.
Yea because they couldn’t get the flights to go direct from Glasgow to the Caribbean. Because Zoom is Canadian the flights had to go Glasgow-Canada-Caribbean.
Im sure if there was enough demand with this particular tour operator (which I suspect there wasnt)- Go Travel Direct could have organised direct flights even with another carrier.
Go Travel Direct all have a pretty big presence here.
Havent Go Travel Direct ditched GLA ? the travel shop is boarded up and GLA no longer features on their website.
Hope this new airlines is based in Glasgow and provides some much needed European city routes. His last three start ups Direct Holidays, Zoom Airlines and Go Travel Direct all have a pretty big presence here.
Cant seethat happening with their new codeshare with GSM
Im sick of LBA threads…whats the unhealthy fascination ?
AA will be back in Glasgow next summer as always.
AA will be back in Glasgow next summer as always.
Ill just make a note of that….and quote you on it at a later date.
Just because you dont want it to happen doesnt mean its just a rumour and its not true. Just because its on aa.co.uk means absolutely nothing. It can be pulled as quick as you can say Chicago Hope.
Two seperate sources appear to be confirming the rumour.
starting GLA-BHX.
That ones been doing the rounds for years. Will need to see that one to believe it, unless you have an official source ?
I dont like double drop flights
Pula is odd considering GSM have had to axe flights to Pula because there is not enough hotel rooms in the place.
You dont really believe that media spin put out by Globespan. That info re hotel rooms is rubbish. No other carriers /tour operators have had to cut back. Simple economics- flights werent full (as per CAA stats) so they were combined.
Think the grey nose is from the old livery. Damage may have forced a quick replacement. I understand any of the A32X aircraft noses are interchangeable.
Look at the standard airbus nose wheel tilt on the first BMI pic. Odd looking.
Good report but – Wrong sub forum
