Mmmm Im not sure either. Looks like a giant golf tee.
Aparrently Volar are to change their name back to LTE.
Dont those Monarchs look nice and fresh in the new scheme.
Great photos.
The 707 has aerials (or whatever!) which extend to the rear of the wing tips, just like the one on the fin which extends forward!
Do they ??? I know 747’s certainly have them.
The 707 looks like it has winglets in pic 2,but I can’t see them in pic 1. Has it now left for good?
Think its just the full leading edge flap depolyment making the wing tips look seperate and raised.
No winglets when last seen on the ground.
That’s the only 732 I’ve ever snapped at GLA and that’s official too ! 😮
Wot, no BY 732’s back in the good old days ? 😉
Oh its a real A330 fest at GLA just now….great pics.
But cheaper fares could perhaps create extra traffic and take more from the trains. Its worked on other routes.
I’ll check with “someone” on Tuesday then.
No need all the proof is here –
Check the excellent http://www.egpf.vze.com/ for clarification
They have a A330 based aswell as a A320 and 757. They A330 that is based at GLA from May 1st is G-OMYT.
Mmmm so far this season there has been 2x A321’s (G-DHJH
G-NIKO ), no 757’s and an A330 passing through, positioning in from elsewhere ( note MYT P flight numbers) and only night stopping on certain days.
Dont know about BWIA but i can tell you that EUJet will not be returning to GLA.
Source or speculation ?
BWIA A340 that was operating until the route was suspended due to maintenance on one of their A340’s
Is that the official excuse ?
Mmm I saw a GLA -TFS flight which was outbound V and later returned inbound V, presumably , going by flight times, the same aircraft.
I didnt think an A330 was actually based at GLA
GSM done GLA-TFS on a 733 last summer but this summer its a 738 so no reason why Jet2 cant.
733’s can have different engine ratings. Thats the difference.
Mmmm, one of my mates who flys with GSM seemed to think otherwise. I’ll need to double check.
