RAF Wildenrath was nowhere near the East German border!!…..It was near the Dutch border. I spend some wonderfull days at the fence in the early 90s, watching the F-4’s. … Took the train to Roermond and then an hours bicycle ride to RAF Wildenrath…
The Netherlands have a restored B-25D on display… But more is always good 😉

I wasn’t aware of dutch c/d’s in Australia.. thought that all KNIL ordered C/D model were diverted to the RAF after the surrender of the Dutch East Indies..

Most Dutch Air enthousiasts are not so happy with the new museum. Only a small part of the old Air museums collection is displayed. The remainder is crated and stored. Some of those stored airframes were key elements of the old museum…They even scrapped several stored airframes to create more storage space….
No wonder There was nothing foud in SE Asia… They were looking at the wrong place fore the wrong aeroplanes…..
It is a Fokker project wich was shown at le Bourget pre WW2.
