Some cannarT and tail-art.

Cambrai 2011
I’m sure there was a Crusader that was flown with folded wings, on purpose or not I don’t know anymore… I will try to locate my F-8 books and check things out.
Looking at the picture of the F-4, It,s not a NAVY bird its a F-4E or F-4F.. How often did they fold up their wings? Wich might explain the error, the pilot could have simply forgot about his “navalized” capabilities….
RAF Coltishall for me!! Great photo opportunities there!!!
I was there too….I also remember the insane solo demo of one of those Migs earlier that day.
This version made it into production.

Bangkok 2009
About 15 years ago taking a stroll in the Portugese town of Loule ( just North of Faro) my wife and I came across a small public green public park with good (and much needed) sun shade. My memory tells me we walked past the side of the municipal bus station and up some grand stone memorial steps to reach the park entrance.
Off to one side was a fenced off area with childrens play equipment and that included a gutted but otherwise complete F86 sitting amongst the trees.
Is it still there, I wonder?
You probably did see a G-91… That was reported in Loule at a playground. According to European W&R 3rd edition it was gone by 2001.
Engineless…

Bangkok, 2009
I still prefer 2 engined jets..

Wittmund, 2011
Dug out my old records…
It was/is Dragonfly WN499. It was at Cearnarfon Air World.
Don’t know if it is still there, I’ve seen it back in 1994…
4 engined Boeing?

Seymour-Johnson AB, 2010
A C-45 acting as a centerpiece at a mini-golf course at Daytona Beach, FL (2010).

Wasn’t there a Dragonfly at a UK museum wich was a playthingy for kids?
I’m sure I’ve seen it somewhere in the 90’s, but cannot recall the location…
Have you even been to Holland or seen the Scheldt??
Know your ICAO codes…;)
Tiger stripes…

Zeltweg 2007
I think one of the best options is the one with the Junior museum at Hermeskeil.
Back on track with an other movie star… Used in Catch -22
