hi Martin,
like others already wrote, a wonderfull project! But what I am wondering, how much will the 109 weighs when finished?
What a wonderfull project! Great to see that are still people who are willing to make such an effort .
Perhaps better to check the cargo lists of the vessels sailing in the PQ convoys, many sunk in the cold artic waters which might helped to keep them in rather good condition.
This one?

Perhaps in Norway? Or did the RAF not use the Gladiator in Norway?
Blimey, they’re expensive.
I doubt they will be sold for that price! But you can send an e-mail to the seller if they have not been sold.
BTW just one question about the brakeing system of the Sirling, was it a pneumatic system from Dunlop?
Regards,
Mathieu.
Not sure if it is true, but a Dutch newspaper reports that Theresa May had contact with Nicola Sturgeon and that May promised her that she only will trigger article 50 when the Scottish agree with that. If that is true article 50 will never be triggered.
Does someone knows what was so specific about that 100U oil?
On YouTube there are a few movies about the construction of the D.XXI replica in the eighties:

I’ll be a happy man when I can make such a helpful post…..in Dutch! 🙂
You are welcome on my forum, about Dutch aviation. A nice topic there to start with: http://www.nederlandseluchtvaart.nl/forums/showthread.php?29515-Prentbriefkaarten-Nederlandse-luchtvaart

although Fokker used the original drawings,
Fokker did not had original drawings when they built the replica, they used drawings/sketches supplied by a Finnish museum. For the tube welded fuselage they could use the one left in Denmark as template.
One thing that always struck me was that the undercarriage legs looked somewhat more spindly in period photos. Does anyone know more about this?
As the builders used the drawings/sketches from Finland the Dutch replica has the undercarriage from a Finnish D.XXI, the Finnish legs were thicker and longer than the Dutch used. This because the Finnish needed stonger legs to enable operations with a ski undercarriage.
The new D.XXI will be painted as the 223 to represent the aircraft of the pilot J. van Zuijlen who was shot down and killed in May 1940. Attached an image how that would lool like.
Regrads,
Mathieu.
Always had a bit of a soft spot for the D.XXI.
At this moment there is a D.XXI under construction that will be airworthy. Hopefully it will fly in 2018. Some photos can be seen here ( page 4, 6 and 7) http://www.nederlandseluchtvaart.nl/forums/showthread.php?37317-PH-XXI-Fokker-D-XXI-replica/page4
