No. We do not have the right to take someones life regardless of what they have done (with the possible exception of mass genocide but that’s a different court).
The death penalty sounds to me like revenge rather than punishment.
I would like to see more realistic sentences. 300 years without parole. As to 37’000 to house an inmate. That sounds like typical bureaucratic waste.
Why do we not have the right?
I once made the mistake of going into a shoe store with the wife, her mother and sister. I’v tried to surpress that memory ever since.
Will we see the Russian Army rolling into Ukraine after the Olympics if the violencw continues?

Will this crisis translate into increased military spending in Europe and the US? My guess is no.
I agree wilhelm. IMO the US’s whole reaction to the situation has been comical.
No, not the remotest likelihood. I cannot think of single parallel between the Crimea and any of the Baltic States. Nor could you if you thought about it for a minute.
After the events of the last couple weeks, I’m not sure of anything regarding Russia anymore.
I’m thinking that Russia is going to go in and finish off Ukrain in the next couple of months. Now……assuming that pretty much everyone here would have said , a month ago, Russia will not annex the Crimea, should the Baltic States (Estonia, Lith. and Latvia) be edgy?
I’m sorry I started this. Nobody can be civil here so I’m out.
Dont bring me into this. I actually side with Russia here for the simple fact that Russian porn is VASTLY superior to Ukrainian!

The reaction does seem to have caught the administration off guard. Looks like they did zero background checking on this.
Wow. It seems Key Publishing has been taken over by the Putin propaganda machine. I really did enjoy their monthly publications and I did enjoy this forum, but its just become a huge Russia good USA/West bad site that I just cant support it anymore.
Grounding order lifted but the “root cause” of the fire still isnt known. http://www.dodbuzz.com/2014/07/15/report-f-35-grounding-lifted-with-restrictions/
ghter, the F-100, which first flew in 1953 to the fastest aircraft ever produced was a period of less than 10 years. 50+ years later the A-12/SR-71 is still the fastest aircraft ever built.
Not to be too nitpicky, but the X-15 was a little bit faster than the A-12/SR-71 and some people would say it is an aircraft.
