Great to see her move under her own steam, well done to all concerned. Should be up there on the 30th to see some more.

As has been said, Gordon Brown has done the deed, resigned as was fitting after a Labour defeat, so now on to the new government, it could be a good move with at least the problems being looked at by more than one set of policy makers, should in theory be a good move, but time will tell. Good luck to them and surely they both can’t make a bigger mess than 13 years of destruction, sleaze and corruption, not forgetting Mandelson out of the picture too.

    Gaff

Listening to Gordon Browns gaff of conversation in his car after someone forgot to turn his mic off, priceless

Our first car was a Chrysler Avenger 1300, brand new collected from Rotterdam in 1977 whilst in the RAF at RAF Laarbruch. Turned out to be a right rust bucket after a few years.

    Nissen Huts

Earlier this week I heard that some of the nissen hut accommodation at Binbrook was up for possible disposal – on a fairly urgent timescale; might this affect the status of XR724?

If you take a look at my website album you will see the state of the nissen huts, who would want to buy them?

My thoughts exactly, must be reason for not keeping the corrosion at bay

I’m surprised to hear XR724 was out for runs at all, having just been up taking some nostalgic photos in January. Have not heard from anyone in the Lightning Association for ages, emails not answered, site not updated since 2005, so don’t know what is going on. Looks a really sad site Binbrook, hardly any concrete left. Have a look at the shots I took in January this year.
