.. and managed like the HAL HF ‘Marut’ Mk. 1A before.
actually it has not been managed anywhere as badly as the marut was.
but it’s no use trying to light the way to blind detractors. time will tell isn’t it ?
I hope you’ll be around in 2015 as sens in this forum. 🙂
The seeker is there to hunt down ships
Against ground targets GPS-inertial computers are used
The altimeter could be differentIs more/less what happened with the tomahawk, it did not have any seeker, then for multirol tasks they fit a seeker (anti ship)
over G, the recently tested block II brahmos LA version has a specially modified seeker that gives it the ability to discriminate and neutralize targets in a highly cluttered urban environment. the brahmos block I itself was built as an improvement over the yakhont (which was the reason it was ‘jointly developed’ in the first place, otherwise TOT of a limited range yakhont would have sufficed), whose electronics and SW date from the late 80’s/early 90’s.
I’m not saying the russians can’t improve the original yakhont to the same level but given that they already had a stake in the brahmos, they had no reason to waste resources in replicating the efforts.
the block II however is quite advanced and I’m not sure if russia has anything comparable in its arsenal at the moment.
Yep, it speaks the truth. It hurts does´nt it?
surprise more than anything. are you a SW program created to mimic human nonsense by any chance ? (I hope this question isn’t outside your design envelope)
Ok…So the LCA Mk1, is going to be produced with no radar or BVR-capability? Wow, that is awsome, producing an early 1950s jet in 2010. India should buy the blueprints of the SAAB J-29 Tunnan instead. At least that fighter had a radar…..
wow ! the thing speaks !
One could say India is a bit the same, but it has two coasts.. and its caste mentality so strongly engrained that the untouchables can stay untouchable and accept their fate when watching Mumbai skyscrapers rising.. I heard some where that the government there built a new elevated highway that connects the airport straight to the rich areas.. no offramps/onramps to the poor areas in between. 😮
what worthless and ignorant comments ! you sound about as knowledgeable as a 5 year old kid trying to explain quantum mechanics ! a little less in fact.
something off topic…interesting news titles..

is there a point you are trying to make ?
at least initially, higher air inflow requirements were cited as problems with F414 integration. now clearly, both EJ-200 and F414 fit the bill more or less, which is why they are in the race.
But if its true that the rest of the aircraft has increased in weight, a heavier engine would seem as a way to balance that?
😮
what kind of logic is that ?
And there are several sources for these- the most respected and accepted are those by people associated with the program, such as (retd.) Air Marshal Philip Rajkumar, an IAF test pilot who led the program till 1999
2003 actually. before that he was in charge of CLAW characterisation and test flights as PD Test flight. after KH moved on in 2001 and he retired from IAF, took over as director ADA.
Ankush, of the top of my head PAF used mushak/super mushak, T-37/K-8, and FT-5/FT-6 before the pilots went to (normally chinese made) A-5 or F-7 units for conversion.
and then go on to which a/c ?? what, for example would be the training path of a F-16 driver in PAF ? is the A-5 or F-7 allotted according to which primary role the pilot is being trained for ? F-7 for air combat and A-5 for ground attack ?
Questions on PLAAF flight training,
wiki claims that both the JL-9 and the L-15 are/have been ordered by the PLAAF. seems to me that these aircraft are somewhat similar to each other. if news of these orders is true, what will be the roles of these aircraft in PLAAF ?
on a more general note, how and on what aircraft is current PLAAF/PLANAF pilot training organised ? I mean all streams, fighters, transports, rotary etc.
unlikely to be exported anytime soon. HAL will hard-pressed to make enough for IAF as it is.
Supposedly the MKI can be modified to drop nuclear bombs but I think the dedicated squadron which practices toss bombing maneuvers is one of the Jag ones. Some one else can probably clarify.
No9 sqdn, wolfpacks, (all 2 seat mirages) among others.
Rimmer, I wasn’t replying to you. would appreciate it if you ignore my posts.
you can continue to spam this forum in the guise of replying to me but just don’t expect a reply from me.
regards.
You can at least extend Arthur the courtesy of letting him decide as opposed to a “your either with us or the terrorists” type Bushism…..
I did no such thing. and I believe Arthur can very well figure that out without help from your childish complaints.
this is yet another example of your now familiar tactics, lying/mis-representing facts to claim something that doesn’t exist.
On the other hand, your opinion in this matter might just be a little bit coloured considering your national preference in the subcontinent.
not really. if it was I wouldn’t have been able to participate in some very fruitful discussions with one pakistani poster who adds real value, vikasrehman.
I suppose you are simply ‘pre-supposing’ my (non-existent) bias, based on my ethnic origins, without evidence. some would call that discrimination.
