kaboom boom!
although now its a battle of credits.. Russkies wanting to say they killed him.. Chechen rebels claiming it was a mere accident
kaboom!
Yes they have and I believe it is the correct way to go but so far the five have not stood together which has allowed NK to scuttle any progress. So far China and Russia have been unwilling to get tough. Sooner or later their self interest should push them into making an agreement with SK, the U.S. and Japan to get tough.

yumpin yimminy, look at the sudden switch of topic from N.Korea to Japan!.
There’s no doubt about it, it would be in China’s best interest to start putting pressure on N.Korea, not necessarily because of N.Korea itself, but other implications on Asian neighbors.
A rightward shift in Japan? Yes, there is.. why? After the numerous taunts from N.Korea, failure after failure of non compliance despite aide, and a missle flying over the island.. who wouldn’t become more hardline after that.
It is a matter of fact that in S.Korea, Roh Moo Hyun and his engagement policy is becoming more and more unpopular, with the likely hood of people supporting a more right wing hard liner to secede him. especially combined with how Koreans feel over the Dokdo island issue with Japan.. hardline is becoming popular there.
Japan is a bit different. Anyone with experience with the Japanese can tell you that there’s a big generational gap in the mentality. The older generation are generally more right leaning, as well as the politicians.. however most of the youths are very indifferent to politics all together, especially foreign policies. They are far far less nationalistic than your average Chinese or Korean youth who go on and on about their anti-Japan paranoia, which continues to grow due to the escalating nature of maritime disputes. The old politicians have been trying very hard to instill nationalism into the Japanese youths but they’re not buying it.. much of this nationalism is to counter the rising nationalism elsewhere in Asia. if worse comes to worse and two hard liners come into power as a result of N.Korea’s taunts.. you can be sure that other inter-asian relations outside of N.Korea will also be strained. the Chinese and Koreans don’t like Japan over history.. the Koreans don’t like China re-interpreting their history, and China is uneasy with pro-US leaning Asian countries.

Only in the most general sense i.e sig reduction slabs and a tall mainmast!. Everything else…yeesh…I’m with Neptune – thats a butt-ugly ship.
Romanian frigate Maresesti only slightly more scary to see on the high seas!
thanks for the pictures! I don’t think its that ugly.. just looks very typical Eastern Bloc. Did the Romanians build this themselves or is it something some other country built that they bought? sorry i’m kinda noob with these things π
hey, Marasesti is a good loking ship…in certain angles  π
Anyway, I’ve never really understud the idea of the two OTO guns in the B position…wouldn’t one single gun, bigger in calibre in the A position (and to move the Sylvester VLS more closer to the bridge) be more cost’effective??
can some one post a pic of this MΔrΔΕeΕti class, I’m very curious to how ugly it is
I don’t remember anyone here talking against Jewish religion. So what antisemitism do you have in mind?
anti-semitism is not exclusively the domain of intolerance towards Judaism, but also ethnicity.
Cheap trash in order to secure further financing.. You are trying to persuade everyone here how hard the whole world needs Israel, but the fact is that the world does not give a damn.. It is YOU who want Israel, not the rest of the planet.
I personally need Israel to exist exactly as little as you need Slovakia.
the difference is, Slovakia is located in a relatively peaceful area of little political interest. When was the last time Slovakia was invaded? when was the last time a world leader felt Slovakia should be wiped off the face of the Earth?
Israel will and always will be a part of a region fo great interest that the world does give a damn because it is home to a number of Christian, Jewish and Islamic monuments. Thats what makes Israel different than Slovakia, and thats why people care.
There is one small difference.. Football and Basketball athletes are not drafted into clubs because they are black.. but because they are the best.
Hockey players not drafted into clubs because they are white – but because they are the best..
But Jewish-Americans are accepted into politics not because they are the best – but because they are Jewish.. Their influental Jewish comrades will prefer Jews to others anytime, regardless of their skills.. I would say that is a HUGE difference.
and you have any proof of this? Yes, Blacks get in because they are best? why? because they have an undisputed physical advantage compared to other races. Jewish-Americans? most are economically better off, able to afford a good education, and land themselves in higher careers..it need not be in America either, but elsewhere as in Europe (one of the reasons of anti-semitism was due to their success even with great disadvantages).
Some of the anti-Semitic sentiments here, especially from fellow Americans is disappointing. It is in the US best interest to continue its financial assistance to Israel due being one of the few liberal democracies in that world and to help preserve their influence there. While it’s understandable that the US needs to deal with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc in order to secure energy for domestic use (or to secure it away from rival nations interested in acquiring energy sources).. eventually once peak oil hits and their narrow economy starts collapsing..their population, many of which are against their government, anti-Israeli and anti-American, will take control and install a leader that reflects their sentiments.. then the US will come running back to Israel.
what makes the Israeli lobby being able to control the US?
I deliberately compared the Israeli lobby with the British lobby, as both of the countries are close allies of the US. Egypt has less influence in Washington, and less sympathy there as a non democratic country.
exactly, everyone always frames the Israeli lobby as being something negative. There’s lots of lobbies.. some which are far worse than this “Israeli” lobby. Secondly, all this talk assumes that this Israeli lobby acts and thinks similarly when in reality they can be very different. Just as how the there are right wing and left wing parties in Israel.. many Jewish-Americans are divided..some are pretty liberal, others are very conservative.. they’re present in both parties.. the only reason why many think this Israeli lobby is powerful is because the large presence of Jewish-Americans in US politics. which is true..but that goes for anything else in the US. Most Football and Basketball athletes are Black.. most Hockey players are white, and likewise many Jewish-Americans are politicians.
thats pretty nice. Im surprised there’s not too many replies to this.
