    Yes, as airframes were withdrawn they flew( or were low loaded) to wallop where the strip for spares and WILDCAT donor program centre was .

    Yes, wildcat flights been deployed for a couple of yrs now, tho still no weapon like the SKUA ready yet.

    Also the last deployed Lynx ships flight returns today to VL, End of an era indeed.

    I did take a phot of the info adjacent to the mounting boss purely so I didn’t have to remember it, however my phone is old and gash and has not been able to tx images for some time so cannot upload, sorry.

    To my inexperienced eye it did not seem to be a mock up, tho there appeared to be no fitting marks/damage around the mounting holes, also the leading edges had erosion shields nailed on.

    The Martian, the book of the recent mat Damon film, very good read right from the start with the main character being a very engaging persona, lots of in depth science so I can only believe it to be theoretical if not possible just yet,

    Just because yr paranoid does not mean yr wrong!
    Had a quick google of the book mentioned, seems very interesting, there certainly seems to be a conflict of interest at least.
