Having trashed their own heritage collection at Cosford they then had their logo corporate image (historical) imposed on the Dan-Air Comet at Duxford.
With the Monarch Brit and Dan Comet all that was required to cover the jet heyday of British IT was a short fuselage Laker 1-11 and a 737-200 of Britannia
Besides Dan flew more Comets than BOAC.

    Dear all,
The biggest problem I have with the cancellation of TSR-2 and CF-105
is not the politicians who did but who told them to do it! I have always
thought there was more to it than simple political convienience, financial
    expedience or stupidity.
Was it Soviet agents of influence because they were both too good or
American comercial interests because they were both too good?

I’m told that the tail section was removed with an angle grinder by the museum curator so I doubt she’s in a condition to return to flight anytime soon.

    😡

I suppose the barbarian was drinking lager and wearing a hooded top at the time.:dev2: Wish I could find my dictionary for the definition of curator and museum.
What with the RAF daubing everything in sight at Cosford and BA b*ggering up Duxfords Comet now this. Were will it all end? In dispair methinks !:(

May I add my support to Jon and to all the others who have stepped in to save this aircraft…………………………………………………..
they knew it could be moved on, but instead chose to begin the scrapping process. Absolutely unbelievable.

Has the damage done to her rendered her unflyable. Assuming funds could be made available?

I think I would need to see the original subject matter before commenting further!

Just for completeness the N number enquiry
    http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNumSQL.asp?verified=1&NNumbertxt=3710G
Shows it as owned by Duane A EGLI from Texas, who has not replied to the FAA tri-annual ownership update enquiry.
    Hope it helps

Odd to report that Duane A. Egli is also still shown as the registered owner of an Avro Anson N5054 (ser. no. 293483 according to the FAA) Whereabouts is this being kept? That is a US civil registration not a UK military serial – just to avoid confusion
Any info on the Anson or the owner appreciated.

P.S. Has a report ever been published can’t trace it on UK AAIB or US NTSB. ?

Now that the RAF/MOD has developed this overwhelming urge to paint inappropriate airframes in their colours, isn’t it about time they gave the cold war theme a memorial flight. Shackleton AEW, (ex Ukraine AF) Bear, a pair of Lightnings and a pair of F-4s should start things off OK We look at the “V” force for phase two. That will give their airships something to think about whilst locating suitable equipment for the Coastal Command memorial flight. It is our tax money after all.:dev2: :diablo:

    AKA Mr Angry of Stockport.

I suggest a Ukrainian Bear as Mr. Putin appears to have his still fully active and may not be too kindly disposed to giving one away to us at the moment

I have recently completed a drawing of a Jaguar for another of the museum members. If you wish to see it, I’ll upload it.

    Thanks

I really don’t think that question needs asking. I don’t think you can publish too much of your work here, I’m sure every other reader agrees with me.
Thanks for your time and trouble,

    Awesome talent there sir,
Would look rather splendid on my wall. How much would a camo and squadron marked TSR-2 cost me? (By PM if you wish)

The Italian register lends itself to this I-LOVE, I-LUST etc etc
I recall BOAC changing the Britannia G-ANBG to G-APLL because of the No Bloody Good connotation.
