Remember these TU-95s are in international waters.
I think that should read international airspace, I don’t think we downed them yet !
8 Bears what a sound track that would have been. How many Blackjacks are still serviceable? I believe they were met by 4 Tornado F3s from Leeming. If we get short handed are the Saudis still in Scotland?

Moocher – there are probably more than thirty active projects with FlyPast
Forum members as a minimum – do you want accurate reports on how all these projects are going as it could run to quite a bit of forum bandwith!
Basic details can be found here

My personal thanks and best wishes to the Vulcan team, I was born within earshot of the Woodford circuit and hope one day she may visit her ancestral home.

such a waste of our aviation prowess allowing the cancellation to occur at all!still lets see if that wealthy russian who wanted to buy a B52 the other day could be persuaded to downsize his needs and consider our Cosfords little number , with his spending power she could be flying in six weeks!
Bit Ironic that would be as they told Wilson to cancel it in the first place! :diablo: Or was it the Yanks ??:dev2: Never been too sure on that point.

BTW: I hope it’s not inappropriate to ask here…but what did cause the crash of Tudor G-AGSU?
It was a miss rigging of the controls leading to reversed inputs, which caused loss of control at low altitude. Those who know say if it had been discovered at 5,000 feet and not 50′ it would have been recovered.
Hope it helps

If we keep this thread relatively on a serious note, we might find something useful……………………..whoahaahahah
Who would ever want to bury a Halifax or Lancaster….with a shovel? Or a bulldozer must have been handy.
Seriously, true or not but some of these myths/rumours/stories/whatever are great reading.
Cees
Cees,
There are well documented records of aircraft pushed over cliffs etc at the end of WW2, so why not bury them if you dont have a nearby cliff on base.

Just revisited this thread in a moment of rare idle curiosity.
Does anyone have an audio file of a TSR-2. Or come to think about it a Javelin as well??
