Have you seen the ‘Big boy’s toys’ advert? they are selling off some ex-Yugoslav Air Force Sokos, jet trainers for £75-90k a STOL Utility aircraft for £34k and a Kraguj Ground Attack aircraft ( 6 available!) complete with Wing mounted Machine Guns, deflector sight, hard points and rocket rails! All for a mere £30k+Vat That would be a machine you could exact revenge with!
You got a link for that? I was going to do a search for Big Boys Toys but then thought better of it as I’m at work! 😮
They don’t appear to have a website, they are FCS Flight Consultancy Services based at Biggin Hill, and seem to deal in sports cars, etc as well.
They advertise in the Comic that competes with Today’s Pilot (same title without the word Today’s) 😀
Could some one kindly i/d the KZ model in the same advert.

Not quite, there is one in Brazzaville. It was damaged on landing a few years ago (a prop struck the ground I think) but remains complete, at least it was four months ago.

If you cut and paste 4 14 58.01 s 15 14 57.92 e into the flyto box on Google Earth it should put you overhead 7Q-YMS at Brazzaville. Then zoom into eye level at approx 1,500ft. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0073917/L/
I think I’ve found a CL-44 survivor at Tripoli International

and do you really think it would jepordize future donations to the museum if in many years time, the aircraft of a now defunct airline is panted in another scheme by the people who’ve looked after it, maintained it and housed it?it all seems so bloody petty!
Sorry Bloodnok,
My money my choice. I earned it I spend it. For what its worth I think the people at Duxford do an amazing job, maintaining our heritage for future generations. They could achieve a whole lot more if they had some industrial strength support. Try Qantas for one example, or South African for a second.

P.S. I doubt that the people who actually work on her were given any choice as to what colour they were told to paint her.
This is one way to do it

I don’t think repainting the Duxford Comet into BOAC colours is at all appropriate. I dont think anyone in the preservation world should do anything to promote BA or its predecessors following the Cosford debacle.
The BA attitude to preservation is appalling. I wrote to them to inform them that one of their DC7Cs was as near as Spain. I didnt even get a reply. (I know they got my letter I sent it recorded delivery) What about ‘LHJ and PDT wouldn’t let anyone near them.
Sorry Duxford but you have lost my gate money for at least 2007.

BA betrayed Dan-Air staff and now the Dan-Air Association are being betrayed on behalf of BA.:dev2:
Bypass the CAA ?
Perhaps Air Atlantique could lease it to the RAF as a centre piece of
the long long overdue Coastal Command memorial flight. Catalina,
Liberator, Sunderland, Neptune, Shack. Make a nice noise in formation.
