Picking up on the Biafran Airlift theme, what about Berlin. Has that ever been filmed? A rich array of pilots and aircraft ( I suppose that would be the problem)………………..

There are a couple of C-54s at North Weald that were acquired for just such a project. Wonder what happened to it ??? Not enough Yorks, Hastings and Tudors about I suppose.

How about something based on the Biafran Air Lift. There are just about enough DC-6, C-54, Super Constellation and even a C-97 flying to represent the airlifters and a few Mig 15 and Mig 17 s to represent the Federal Nigerian Air Force though an airworthy IL-28 might be a bit harder to locate.

There was a plan ( allegedly) at one time that she would have an AN 124 style rear door. There were also plans to restart AN 124 production at Ulyanovsk and Kiev of improved version. I think UR82009 is the flying prototype for this program.

If Boeing do back down, then there will like as not be a big queue of CEO’s knocking down doors in Seattle wanting similar discounts and on expensive new kit like B 777 and B 787 as well.
    Don’t go there Boeing.

    About FIA

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile is the governing body for world motor sport and the federation of the world’s leading motoring organisations.

Founded in 1904, with headquarters in Paris, the FIA is a non-profit making association.

in anyway affected the appalling leniency of the judgment against Renault ?
Or am I just being cynical ?

Mark, That was my own opinion and i was not trying to add fuel to the fire..

Can I suggest you and the other Mods seek KP to provide some type of statement in regard to this mess?

And what exactly do you think we have been doing this past week??

But have you had any reply ? I do not expect or wish you to disclose the contents, just a simple yes or no will suffice.

I have read as much as is permitted on this and related threads and seen many comments along the lines of

I have already cancelled my subscription to Flypast.

    or

    Don’t buy the magazine

Those actions will not seriously affect Key Publishing one iota. If however you personally wish to try to do them some harm. I would suggest writing to each and every advertiser in Flypast telling them you will no longer support/ purchase their product and why. If enough ( and it is a big IF ) do this and advertising revenue starts to drop off that may get the attention of the Stamford Mandarins.
It is your choice what action you choose to take and how much time and effort you are prepared to put into that action.

Is there not an uncut rear end available anywhere. I recall the Thunderchief could be split in half (approx ) to facilitate engine changes.
