Sorry if I’ve missed it somewhere here or elsewhere, but which squadrons were designated to receive TSR-2, if in fact any were in fact designated?
Thanks in anticipation,

A total of 158 British Aerospace (BAe) Nimrod and 20 Handley Page Hastings sorties were flown in support of the Royal Navy between 24 November 1975 and 2 June 1976.

Equally interesting is the earlier use of Maritime Patrol Britannias
In an effort to conserve Nimrod flying hours, a small number of fishery protection sorties were also flown by Bristol Britannia transport aircraft from 20 July 1973.

Any former Brit or Hastings crew out there wish to cast some light ?

Thanks for that. Yes I have Tim O’Brien’s excellent print. According to Tims comprehensive notes Squadron Leader K.R. “Jacko” Jackson MBE, AFC flew 4 heliotrope sorties whilst squadron commander of 1066 squadron at Scampton. I now know from you that TG517 flew 4 of the missions. I think the total was in the region of 20 such flights. Did they all depart from Scampton?

Watching these damnable trough snufflers wringing their hands on TV saying how terrible it is that two members of a particular party have got elected by democratic process. Instead of addressing the fears that cause people to vote that way. Bl**d% hypocrites :dev2::dev2: the lot of ’em

I am not speculating, but seeking knowledge. I believe two German Air Force Tornados crashed as a result of flying too close to a commercial radio transmitter. Given the intensity of the lightening in this area does anyone know of the possible EMP effect of severe lightning discharges either +ve or -ve. Has any research ever been carried out into this possible phenomenon? I understand that EMP protection is a major concern with the military versions of the A330 currently under development.
Thanks in anticipation for your time and trouble,

What a monumental PR coup for the wicked Irishman. How many publics have seen and heard all this hullabaloo and picked out the repetitive mantra “Ryanair” and “lowering fares”. Got to give the grasping b@stard his due he can work the PR trick. It’s like your council tax November = significant rise, December = 12-15%, January- February= 13%, March = 7% April = phew only 7% we did quite well out of that. It is nothing to do with loo charges it is about getting everyone to look away while he punishes those passengers without internet ( the elderly) by scrapping check in desks ( reduction in staff as well) and tightens the thumb screws on passengers with baggage ( cabin ) and luggage ( hold). He must at this moment be trying desperately to find some revenue use for all that empty space under the floors. Perhaps individual pee tubes at a £1 per shot and extra seats where the loos used to be.
Not catch me with an RYR flight number in my log book.
