I remember Walkers did toasted cheese a few years back they were great IMHO. Cant understand why they withdrew them.
I just hope Walkers are being environmentally aware and using grey squirrels, and not our local red ones.

Strictly speaking they are not ‘NATO’ – they are allocated by the Air Standards Co-ordinating Committee (ASCC) – (which includes non-NATO members Australia & New Zealand).

I was unsure of the current correct title that is why i used the phrase “so called NATO codenames” in my question.
Thanks everyone, when was the system ended?

I saw the link ok! I just do not like the video. I don’t like posting air crashes even if they are fictitious.;)

    So Far Away- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s_gojNXbyH8

Sad to say it was not fictitious but based on reality

is there any reason why engine intakes cant have a
solid metal mesh or similar covering them?(something to let the air in and keep the large objects out!)

It disturbes the air flow too much and gets bunged up, plus it causes severe icing problems, see some photos of air filters from older piston engines after “carb icing” events, bits of paper and other small items of FOD go through a jet engine without causing damage but would block such a grill.
    Hope it helps

I’ll bet the NTSB do more damage getting it out of the water than these absolute heroes did putting it there in the first place.
Should focus some minds on the safety briefing for a couple of days at least.
Hardest part IMHO was missing all the boats in that part of the river.
Superb job, hats off to a team of real pros F/D & C/C.
