Thanks for your time and trouble.

13th December 1964 the last flight of the type, where from ?

I now believe she was later positioned to Southend for scrapping. Can anyone confirm this or the date?

Does anyone have a date for the last flight of a Canadair C4 Argonaut ?

    Planemike

I think that would be N8022L in December 1979 to Greater Inagua Island in the Caribean, from where I know not. Shortly after it went tech there several principals in the operator were arrested by The Drugs Enforcement Agency. As far as I know she is still there with a seized Merlin.
    Hope it helps

Last Bristol Britannia flight was 14th October 1997 when XM496 flew into Kemble having been ferried back from Africa.

I believe the last sector was Las Palmas – Kemble (GCLA – EGBP)
    Hope it helps

How did people react to Ossie when he played during and after the Falklands War?

During the conflict he was loaned to Paris Saint Germain. When he returned to Spurs he was given a very warm welcome at most grounds he played at.

I think I recall the R.A.A.F. were very keen at one stage, and W.G.A.F until Lockheed bought their interest off, or was that the Saunders Roe rocket fighter ?

Am I right in thinking it is illegal for German aircraft to have the swastika painted on them?

It is if they have a German CofA. Peter Holloway can fly his beswastika’d fleet into Germany no problems now they are UK registered but not when they were registered D-xxxx.
    Odd but true.

The link works although it is in French.

Presumably this Daniel Roche is not the famous history author of the same name.

Details of the 707 crash below.

Apropos the sale of more poppies this year than any since 1946.
One line from the BBC coverage of the cenotaph this morning really brought it all together for me again And now the representatives of the war widows association whose ages range from 18 to 105 “A whole new generation are being exposed to the real reason behind rememberance.

    TSR 2.
Paint it in camouflage and horse it down Loch Ness at zero feet at top knots.

Ronald Wong has done a limited edition print of that. In 617 colours going past Urquhart Castle. A W E S O M E doesn’t do it justice.
