Other times : Sudanese F-5E in Prestwick :
Wow! The F5 is in excellent condition. Any idea when the pic was taken?
Of all the PLAAF airfleet modernisation, only their bomber fleet looks antiquated.
It’s just a matter of time that a Chinese-equivalent of the B2 comes about….or remember that RQ-170 that came down in Iran? Already there were rumors that Chinese engineers were asking to take a look at that machine.
Was just watching a documentary about maple flag and i noticed one of the f-16d models had a dorsal spine fitted . Now this is normal for foreign vipers but the machine had Usaf markings . Is this part of the mlu updates for the F-16
Can share what’s the name of the documentary you seen?
Many thanks
Hi Giblets,
Thank you very much for the translation, greately appreciated. 😉
You are referring to the Z-11 or Z-19?
Hope this link http://cnair.top81.cn/z-8_z-9_z-11.htm is helpful to you.
My Take:
Brazil FX2: (Super Hornet, Rafale, Gripen, Su-35?)
Indian Helo: (Ch-47, Mi-26)
Indian Transport: C-27, C-295, Il-112
Indian SARS: Shin meiwa US-2, Beriev Be 200, Bomberman 415
Malaysian MMRCA: (Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen, Super Hornet, maybe some Russian type)
Swiss AF: (is it really Gripen or will Rafale come out of nowhere?)
Korean FX: Eurofighter, F-15, F-35, others?
The first Su-35 export customer will be? Venezuela
IAF has selected the M346?
It is reported that the IAF is recommending to purchase the M346 over the T50 for its replacement trainers.
Balkans? This region is already history isn’t it?
How about a region that is in the news lately perhaps some rougue Iranian Revoluntionary Guard attempt to ‘close’ the Gulf Hormuz? or some ‘rougue’ NK Gen who is playing some ‘mischief’ in the Korean Peninsula ? :diablo:
…
Do not be surprised if they buy Super Hornets to replace the Tornados.
Would love to see the Super Hornets painted in the same desert camo of the Tornados :diablo:
Losing a classified machine like this to hostile forces is akin to the USSR ‘losing’ the then-secret MiG-25 Foxbat to the West following LTA Belyanko’s defection in 1976.
In the 1980s, the Malaysian AF wanted Tornados IDS but its price put it out of reach and instead purchased Hawks 100 in its place.
XF8U-3 is my personal favourite – apparently was pretty good too. Just a shame it lost out to some offering from McDonnell – I forget exactly which;)
…
It lost out to the F-4 Phantom.
…
This one below is my favorite…
DANGER
Remove before takeoff.
Woah! Would love to see this pic as a nose art on the J-20!
…
We seem to have short memories. It wasn’t long ago thatt the french
directed a F-117 over French radar facilities. or have we forgotten?
….
This is news to me! Do you have the story background (or links) to the story? Thanks in advance.
The RBE2 AESA and OSF have been tested on a Mirage 2000B, but with operational limitations due to the change in centre of gravity: 300kg ballast added in the rear, less fuel, disturbed airflow & 7% higher fuel consumption……
Looks like a Mirage 2000 refit with an enlarged Rafael nose!
