If the JH-7 is given the name 飞豹 (or ‘Fei Bao’ aka ‘Flying Leopard’), how about 凤凰 (or Feng Huang aka ‘Phoenix’) for the J-10?

F-5E with “T” designator is previously mentioned on some RTAF news source when they refer to Israeli-upgrade F-5E/F… The name “T” might be called only in RTAF…

So the F-5T (in Thai Service) is to indicate the Es are upgraded? Whereby the upgraded F-5 is now known (in RTAF) as F-5T (T= Thai?).

Could it also due to the ‘interest’ to integrate the Python 5 into the F-35 too?

As Israel is also ‘security partner’ in the JSF programme and given the Israelis ingenuity to ‘customise’ Israeli products into past US systems. Doesn’t it make sense for the US to ‘fit’ this weapon into the F-35 rather than let the Israelis do this? :confused:
