Flogger…if you look very very attentive to the Khazakh MiG-29 photo… Look bellow the horizontal stabilisor. You`ll notice a counter-direction (sorry for my English). I thought that aerodinamic arrangement was used only on the prototypes…

Yep, you’re correct that those small fins(?) are installed on early production MiG-29s. However, they were found to be unnecessary (on the -29s) and were deleted from later production models.

Whereas on the SU-27s, they (the small fins) were absent during the prototype testing but were subsequently installed on later production -27s.

With the mullahs in power, it’s just a matter of time before those missiles start to make known their presence among some ‘Dysfunctional & Misplaced groups’ (aka Hizbollah) in South Lebanon. ๐Ÿ˜ก

Banghladesh air force – as typical for that country.

Sorry, but looking at the pic, I have to say this. Eventhough those are MiG-19/J-6s are aka ‘FARMERS’. The scene looks like after some flooding in the country but it also had some resemblance of ‘FARMERS’ in the field! ๐Ÿ˜€

Any pics of MiG-21/J-7s ‘FISHBEDS’ in similiar fashion? If do, definitely looks like ‘FISH’ on the river’BEDS! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

I have thought about it and also a Jordanian IDS model too,but as of yet, haven’t found a good side view to base it on,but I’m working on it.The other problem is Photobucket resizes it from a nice sized pic,to that little thing,so on most of my drawings, you can’t really make out the detail you could on a full sized copy.Just finished a couple AH-1W SuperCobras last night, one from Saudi Arabia,in the 3 tone desert camo, and a German PAH-2 model.Getting back to the A-7,I was thinking of doing one of the A-7G models Switzerland was supposed to get.Heres a link to my photobucket album to see some of what I’ve done.http://photobucket.com/albums/c177/OPFOR/

BEAUTIFUL! Thank you very much for the link, IIAF (or do you prefer IRIAF?) F-14A? ๐Ÿ˜€

Heres something I came up with.I think finding the real pic would be like finding the Tornado IDS done up in Malaysian markings.

Interesting! Have you tried coming up with a Tornado (IDS please) in RMAF colours too? :diablo:

Well, if my memory is still correct, I believe the RTN A-7s are based at U-Tapao?

    I haven’t forgotten the February-March 1979 China-Viet Nam unpleasantness either. 8P

Since you mentioned it, any pics of wrecks from that border incursion? Surely, that conflict couldn’t be just restricted on the ground only…or is it?

    “Beijing denies aircraft-carrier rumor”

    2006-01-24 Beijing Time
    Zhang Liuhao

THE central government today denied a rumor emanating from Taiwan about plans to buy and rebuild an aircraft carrier, Xinhua news agency reported.

This is not personal Don Chan. But frankly, even if the claim is true, do any of you seriously believe that Beijing will publicly admit that they are building carriers? ๐Ÿ˜€

Imagine the headlines of Xinhua: “The Taiwanese military is correct, WE ARE BUILDING CARRIERS”. Or the PLA daily: “As part of China’s peaceful rise, carriers for the PLAN is paramount!”.

The question is not “IF” but “HOW MANY”.

    F-8 crash in VietNam.

Just wondering? Is this F-8 wreakage (& others) still there? Or have they been cleared up and now put on display in some American War musueum in Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City?

I imagine the trouble of the US Navy if a F18 E/F was shot down by an Iranian Tomcat… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
    Dada you’re right c’est vrai que c’est pas facile d’รฉcrire en anglais… ๐Ÿ˜ก

It will be Deja Vu for the USN then! :diablo:

In fact, will be considered as a compliment to the USN? Well, at least their newest pride was not down by some Russian/Chines-made warplane but a USN discarded jet? hahahaha :dev2:

During the Falklands war a Russian ship with lots of aerials (allegedly) was sat at the approach to the runway at Accension. Because it was in international waters it could not be forced away. Allegedlly two 29 Sqd Phantoms took off at dusk and circled with lights off…

    colin

Phantoms in the Falkland War? I had the impression that the planes (UK-side) involved primarily the Harriers and the occasional Vulcan bomber. Or was I wrong?

What is this? Chinese version of F-117?

The caption read as “J-14 (?) undergoing wind tunnel tests….”
