    Russia would back India, period.

I thought as it will be China and India equal equal for Russia. So they will try to be neutral. But nevertheless interesting reply, I was not expecting such bold statement.

    Hi All,
What about their alleged closer ties with China in particular the Syria problem they are along the same tract of thought, or are you saying that if they fight together in Syria (If it goes pear shaped) they would fight each other if conflict broke out between India and China ?

    Geoff.

Aren’t each country acting to its national interests. Syria is totally different scenario, where Russia wants to keep its influence in middle east especially after Egypt. They don’t want whole middle east under western influence. There is no such requirement in case of China and India. So in my Humble PoV above statement is way off the mark.

Lets assume for a moment (only for discussion) that there is war between India and China due to border dispute. For our discussion, it really does not matter who fired first shot as no one is going to accept it. International response will be based on interests of each country and least on who is on fault.

Of course it will be interesting if some Chinese poster can participate.

I had hoped for an informed discussion about a potentially interesting topic but clearly that is unlikely.

I thought I could discuss it with open mind among international community. Lets see how this thread turns out, I hope it can get back to track after minor derailment.

Will all pleasure … GoI has officially refused to accept it already. Yes, we can afford to develop nuclear technologies and run a successful space program :p

And maybe, if you want a discussion, you should refrain from crass insults, and behaving like a spoilt child; it’s Great Britain, by the way, or the United Kingdom, whichever is easier to remember.

If the Chinese had (and I read nothing about it) kicked our donkeys, they would have fallen foul of the RSPCA, which should frighten them off.

Which confirms that we are right to keep our noses out of something for which our presence obviously isn’t wanted.

I thought The Great Britain guys are rough and tough. They took nothing personal so easy, of course I was mistaken. If I have hurt someone sentiments apologies on my part .

Regarding China, should I post the article where Chinese has snubbed UK, France, Germany and USA on many occasions. If someone follows international politics, then I don’t need to post and it is educated discussion.

Interesting PoV from English side, may be I should go and discuss to death like Argentina invading …

    1. When India is deploying more fire power on the border in long term.
    2. Building more infrastructure on the border, although at much slower rate.
    3. Completely ignoring land grabbing by China. By dismissing as Indian PoV.
    4. When USA is moving 60% of its assets to South Asia and to backup Japan and other smaller countries around China.

Days gone world powers, who’s a** kicked by China for meeting Dalai Lama. No doubt future belong to Asia and North America; to be specific to China and USA.

Thank you for your valuable time Gentlemen.

    Allies for India :
Political : USA, France, Japan, Vietnam, Bhutan, Burma(?), Nepal(?), Bangladesh(?)
    Military : None

    Allies for China :
Political : North Korea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma(?), Nepal(?)
    Military : Pakistan

Neutral : Russia, Canada, Germany, South Korea and small nations around south China see.
