    Mark12,

Do you have any more info on those Burmese Provosts, like construction numbers, where they are based, who owns them, what is their fate?

Any help you can give would be appreciated,

    Jon

(ps – thanks for the photos, they are great!! any more?)

Just a thought which I may look into, apparently the Chairman of Air Atlantique at Coventry once said that he would save the Beverly if it ever looked like it was going to be scrapped. It could sit at Coventry along side the Shackleton and perhaps get to engines running/taxy status? Unfortunately it wouldn’t receive hangarage due to its enormous size.

I’ll let you all know if I find out any information,

    Jon.

Thanks for all of your efforts so far, this is exactly what I’m looking for. The pictures are especially good, keep ’em coming!!

Aircraft I’m particularly stuck on are ones that have ended up in countries that aren’t yet up to speed with the internet, like Lebanon, Liberia, India, S. Africa, Zimbabwe, etc. If anyone knows of any Percival aircraft in these areas I would like to know!!

    Thanks,

    Jon.

The reason I know about her is because I have been looking for a Provost to buy for myself and fly privately. After lots of communication with the broker I found out that the aircraft doesn’t have any paperwork whatsoever. After a brief chat with the CAA it looks like it will never be possible to fly her in the U.K unless some paperwork miraculously appears. Ideas anyone?

The only work done on the aircraft that I can see is that she has been stripped and primed. Thats it. Wings are untouched, and the 3 engines and 2 props that come with the package are all in need of overhaul. An expensive task!!

I know where Provost WV483 is, it is in Nashua USA, partially restored and for sale. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with any paperwork!! Here’s a then and now photo of her.
