Im in the back seat too for a next april wedding. I did wonder how much TA 805 would cost for a little display but im sure it will cost many thousands. Although not too far from biggin to maidstone.

This is the first event of it’s type we have tried using this format and getting the ‘cost vs value’ balance is a tricky one.
We felt by keeping the numbers low (40 tickets per day) so as to provide a very personalised, upclose experiance, also providing lunch and refreshments all day, that we may have achieved this.
Any feedback however is greatly appreciated, please email merlin.promo@btinternet.com
Many Thanks

Each day is limited to just 40 guests with the aim of giving you a unique, behind the scenes, personalised experiance and an unrivaled opportunity to get up close and personal to an airworthy Spitfire.
The full day event will be staged at the excellent Vintage Fabrics facility at Audley End, a venue which witnessed the re-birth of many of todays airworthy Spitfires.
A freshly made tea or coffee and a warm welcome from the team awaits you upon arrival. Several special guests have been lined up and a detailed presentation on Spitfire restoration and operation.
After lunch, provided by ourselves, you will have the opportunity to inspect The Kent Spitfire as well as other aircraft which include the Piper L4 Cub and Me 108 as well as an indepth look at some of the other aircraft undergoing maintenance or restoration.

I must admit to getting a bit hooked by these diecast models, especially ones based on UK Warbirds! I have P51 Twilight Tear, P51 Princess Elizabeth, P47No Guts No Glory, MH434, Ferocious Frankie HAC Hurricane and Spitfire, TFC’s Corsair, P51 Big Beautiful Doll,RNHF Swordfish (With Folding Wings!) and Black 6! I’ve ordered this Kent Spitfire release so I reckon I might be able to stage my own Flying Legends line up!
Now if only they were all 72 times bigger! 😀 😀 😀
We have just launched the Kent Spitfire Shop

Keep an eye on this site for all the latest news with regards our very special Gemini Aces Commission “Spirit of Kent”
Had a pleasant afternoon sitting in the garden with the in laws absorbing madams stunning sunday lunch.
Following a conversation concerning the lack of warbirds over Braintree, a Spitfire flew very low and fast down Bradford Street, parallel to us, and did a VERY tight turn around Braintree College and off in the direction of Towerlands and no doubt DX. Quite impressive, whoever it was, a little bit more impressive than the hot air balloon that followed, good job all the high chimneys have gone now.
It was TA805. I believe the pilot keeps an aircraft at Rayne.
