Had a look around this bird today after landing. Certainly different to the usual Aircraft we handle. π
Been confirmed that BAWC are staying at STN.
The Antonov departed with a Ship’s engine.
The big bird looks very nice on our Bravo Apron. π
Landed 0728Z, due to depart 1900Z.
2752m by 61m. Could do with 3000m+ for heavy 744’s departures.

These flights are only 5 rotations during late July/August so not really that a big deal.
Mk’s new(old) 747 was due today on delivery at EGTG. G-MKHA ex Air China
Wondering if the British Global name is just for the US routes. Would be a bit strange to reg all aircraft G-MKXX if they rebranding?
I tried to look on pprune but I cant find it ,have you got a link at all mate.
James
Some other good news is that DAS have got a deal to maintain World Airways DC-10’s at MSE.
First of which arrived during the week and departed yesterday.
I believe the people already booked are being offered a full refund or a transfer onto another holiday package.
Flights scrapped
DIRECT flights between Kent and the United States, due to take off in May, have been scrapped.
In what is a huge blow to Kentβs aspirations to become an international aviation hub, Cosmos, the Bromley-based holiday operator, and Kent County Council pulled the plug to avert huge potential losses.
Only 800 tickets – 600 British and 200 American – had been sold in the six months since the weekly service between Kent International Airport and Norfolk International Airport, Virginia, was announced in September. The flights, to be operated by Monarch Airlines, had a total capacity of 10,000 seats.
