Looks like no confirmed displays as of yet but will be interested to see how this develops! Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Nice find there, worth hell of a lot more than what you purchased hem for, Japenese stuff (if WII origin) sells for a premium on ebay. Yes the tip of the two dials seem to be radium paint, but if the glass is in tact with the rubber seal in place and the usual precautions taken then it should be okay. Well done on your find!

Good documentary, with the steep descent and short take off/landing capabilities just wondered if a c17 could get in and out of LCY London City Airport. Just how good is this aircraft in practice?

I agree with Flyingspark , look at it from a positive, be proud the airline has chosen your image.

As Kev 35 states: If you don’t want your image to be used, then dont put it on the web to share with the rest of the world.

I hope you reach your satisfactory outcome.

I’m impressed by the size of those props, where does the open door by the hostess lead too? I know the aircraft had a lower deck, by chance was this the entrance for the embarking passengers.

On the subject of the Stratocrusier has any one got any photos of the interior? By all accounts it was quite a impressive and decadent inside, I guess it’s a bit similar to how to how the modern Airbus A380 was first marketed but never in fact came to be.

I agree with the copyright issue but what exactly which country is it lawful in? If it goes on the world wide web, then is the law in the UK or Europe also applicable in some other far off distant land? Does the law of that land recognise British copyright law??

Let me give you an example, we all use price comparison web sites for items such as ishopping for TV’s, nsurance or cheap loans etc. No doubt we all tick the data protection act box stating that we do not wish the company to share or disclose our personal information with others. So what if (as in the case of some companies) the customer web service centre for these sites are in India? Does Indian law recognise the British Data Protection Act 1984, I think not!

Individual Laws can only protect you in the countries that recognise them in the frst place. If someone takes a picture off the internet in the republic of Georgia and copyright is not recognised there, then no offence is committed by that person within his own country and not much more can be done about that even though it is wrong in the United Kingdom.

Great photo Rob and that’s why it has been placed on the airline website. I would see this as a positive as opposed to a negative. The airline has in theory selected your picture to repesent their corporate image, what a great accolade to your good work, take that away with you!

Having said all that (and I will admittedly contradict myself here) in all probability some private web designer contraced by the airline has probably sought and used your image(s). The airline will probably be unaware and he or she has no doubt profitted from this. The airline will be non the wiser as to what happened and probably has more important concerns to worry about in reality such as aircraft going tech etc. Your gripe should be with the web designer, try and find their details out from the airline marketing department.

I understand the theory of copyright etc, however if you put your work on the internet and expose it to 6 billion people then the law of average states that someone is bound to use or “steal” it. It goes without saying. It may be copyight law in the United Kingdom but the same law certainly does not apply in Kazakhstan, , Laos, Guatelma or god knows else where!
    God bless you Rob!

I’m not too sure what all the fuss is about here, in my part of the world it’s quite common to find children doing the cockpit pre-flight checks on the Boeing jets prior to take off.

Hungarian female pilots are currently being trained on all transport aircraft, the HAF hope to achieve a 12.5% female pilot ratio in line with European equal oppurtunities programme

Ok Ladies, as spring and summer is arriving in the not too distant future, and the green shoots of recovery are amongst us, what limited aerojumbles (dates & venues) are organised for this year in the United Kingdom???
