    Cats in the Lake……

Old men’s stories can be true sometimes !!!!!

And then there were the stories I first heard in the 60’s of Hurricanes in crates near Murmansk…..Didnt mention Spits so must be true 😀

Must have been in the brambles at the end !

Having talked to a couisn who is similarily interested in historic aircraft he reminded me that in the late sixties/early seventies a large tail dragger RAF transport was sitting near the boundary of what is now Belfast international/RAF Aldergrove.

Think it may have been a Hasting but neither of us can remember if it was 2 or 4 engined…anyone know what it was and where it ended up? it sat there for ages..

What an amazing find, what’s the story behind the collection?

There was/is something similar near where i used to live in Northern Ireland …only unfortunately outside storage only..

An ole boy used to buy a car drive it until the MOT expired or it stopped then park it in a field and leave it there…He wouldn’t let anyone near them but i remember 50’s Rovers ,Zodiacs, Anglia’s, Austin A35s etc etc etc…

From what i heard he and they were still there 5/6 years ago!!

My sympathies go out to the Families & friends of the deceased.

Can we leave this tread to those who want to pass on similiar messages a nd continue the debate on the rights and wrongs of historic displays elsewhere?

    Ground hog day…

    Janey,

Away for ages, damn all internet coverage, back home for a long weekend and what do i find??

The same argument again…my last posting was to start a debate tread on those horrendous School shootings in the US and leave PII’s tread for those who wanted to pass on their sympathies.

Have to agree with Moggy et all…two treads one for the debate on the event another to allow those who want to to pass on their sympathies.

    UK just another American State???

    😮 Westminister a ” regional ” assembly???

It would make me very happy, becouse it wouldnt cost as much. Regional assemblies are a pointless exercise in wasting money, nothing more.

ok….so dissolve Westminster, Scottish ,Welsh and Northern Ireland Assemblies…everyone to head for the House of Reps or the Senate?

or am i reading you wrong….or did you read me wrong ?? 😀

World president George? dear god help us all!
