There are ways of making corrections and a time where corrections are relevant. this wasnt really one of them on either count.

Given the proposed EU CO2 emission level restrictions (as from 2012) announced today, then maybe Ford saw the writing on the wall and sold the brand in anticipation that living with such a restriction might cause a few problems for European-based Supercar bands?

Can anyone imagine an Aston that has both good performance, and CO emissions of less than 120g/Km…..perhaps LV will produce the first 1200cc Aston Martin.

I’m not getting involved in this debate, but I wanted to point out those two errors…..

So someone makes a few errors in what are essentially irrelevant details and their entire point is totally invalid?

after all those who died would not have been particularly worried about either the type of aircraft involved or for that matter someone getting the time period wrong …they still ended up dead killed by their own.

and as in the past the lessons are not being learned.

As a serving member of the Armed forces surely it would more useful to provide an insight into what could or should be done to try to at least reduce such occurrences in what is after all an all singing all dancing age of military technology ?

In this the case, the tabloid press is attempting to make dated information seeming shocking and relevent. Like any friendly-fire incident, this incident was tragic and unneccessary. Is this item news worthy? Only in the eyes of journalists who are too indolent and cowardly to actually investigate and report genuine news items.

Newsworthy?? Of course it is newsworthy ..this man died at the hands of his allies due to incompetence to an extent by the pilots but most definitely by those who should have known that ” friendlies ” were present.

dont know much about twitching….but it looks like a Buzzard to me alright.

We have had the joy of up to 4 of them flying near the house for the last 3/4 years..fantastic sight and sound..

One of the specialists in Birdwatch Ireland told me that the Film industry frequently used the call of a Buzzard in scenes featuring Eagles in the past..
