I’m surprised that no one in this world give a damn about the crimes committed against the indigenous people of Australia. But then again, who is going to take responsible for those crimes?
And then there is the indigenous peoples of the America’s , North and South, who had to put up with French , British & Spanish invasion and murder.Never mind the later American subjugation of their native tribes. and then what about the Irish, Scotch and Welsh invaded and deported in their thousands? Yes it is to the shame of Western civilisatons/Empires that their history is so drenched in the blood of the innocents. And it is to the shame of their modern day successors that they still think subjugation and bloodshed is the way to go…they never learn the lessons of history do they?
Yes something must start/continue to be done to allow the pitiful remnants of once great peoples to survive with dignity and a means to retain their history & culture but times pass and time change…we have to learn to live with it and learn from the mistakes of the past.
