Well in an age when Big brother type censureship is so prevelant what do you expect?
PC seems to be very definately one sided !!!
A much better punishment would be confinement for life….take away his freedom for the rest of his days ….The death sentance is a quick way out for him..let him suffer for the rest of his life for all the innocents he murdered.
Mind you if we were to lock up all the rest of the world leaders who contributed to this mess there would be a hell of lot of elections needed!!!

I can understand the concern about what constitutes a ” real ” Spitfire, when you see the tenuous relation between what starts as a total wreak and its subsequent return to flight..
But then as a fan of the “real ” winner of the BOB , an aircraft whose remains are generally even more non existant, i suppose i cant talk ! 😮
It sort of works like this in the Switzerland (well, in the “more Swiss” part at least ;-)). There are the recycling points everywhere and, as long as you have your stuff separated into paper, white glass, colour glass etc… (some points have up to 16 different kinds of waste!) you throw them away for free. Then, for all the “generic” things, like the typical kitchen waste, you have to buy the plastic bags from the local authorities – and, believe me, they are not cheap at all :D. Bloody simple and logic. And it works 🙂
As for the cars, there are some really serious plans to heavily tax the 4×4’s, or other 5L-engined monsters used very often to do the shopping or bring the children home after school. Yet another reasonable idea, IMO.
Damn right ..one very neat clean country!
I like the way they do it in Germany too….There people take the unnnecessary wrapping off foodstuff and its the responsibility of the shop to get rid of it..Not too much plastics used for sure!

We need to do something folks…its getting ruddy serious for the future generations..
can i suggest a few things?

see what you are contributing to the mess … and better still see what you can reduce!
Get rid of your petrol/diesel guzzlers….buy a Toyota Prius…or maybe not…just walk ..its a car with no style 😀 !!
Check out alternative means of heating your home….get a wood chip/pellet/grain burner system in…saves money as well!
Over here in the land of the not so Green the government have had a few good ideas….and thats a rare occurance beleive me! for example plastic shopping bags cost 20c (?) each…reusuable bags are much in vogue.the difference this simple measure makes is unreal..no more messy strips of plastic stuck in hedges or fences ! Grants are available for changing to Eco friendly home heating systems…problem is rip off installers are making a killing!
When you think of it it is daft that we dont use Termal heating on a larger scale…ok the initial instaltion might be dear but its free after that for god’s sake!…wish i had known about it a few years back!
I have decided to do what i can and hopefully save a few euro when i am at it! We have a large garden so i have installed a ” Green cone ” food disposal system, all other waste is being segregated into various bins ,I hope to have a Baxi wood pellet heating system in place soon, The car will end up parked at the local train station every day( if they sort the blasted trains out!)

Along with rights come responsibilities – a fact often overlooked in this day and age. We simply can’t expect one without the other.
Freedom of speech goes hand-in-hand with the recognition that those whose opinions differ from one’s own have exactly the same right.
damned ****^%&%$£ right !!

Yesterday’s terrorist is tomorrow’s statesman…ask Nelson Mandella !
Your terrorist is someone elses freedom fighter..ask The Wehrmacht from WW2 about the Milorg!
and lets not forget state sponsored terrorism…
Its all about perspective..
Freedom of speech is only acceptable, at the moment, in the land of the free as long as you agree with US foreign policy !
