We’ll see who’s where at the end of the season, my friend. 😉
Damn right…..no matter what well ahead of the Blue twits !:diablo:
It most certainly is, however we must ensure that that right remains and Islam (amongst others) is hardly well known for its tolerance in this area.
There are few if any religions that are ! but for once ..just once i actually agree with SOME of what Larry says !
I have to admit that i was a practicing catholic until a number of years ago when the antics of the Local Hierarchy with regards to child abuse by priests just sickened me & drove me from the church that i had held dear for almost 40 years…
and it goes on…the retired former catholic cardinal of Ireland was up until today still trying to prevent the disclosure of church documentation relating to the widespread abuse of kids by those that most people would have thought could be trusted completely. The sheer arrogance & hypocrisy of it all beggars belief ..have they no idea of basic morals? of what is right and what is wrong? not a chance !
So no we shouldn’t allow religion to have much if any say on justice but by the same token i think there might be a place for allowing Sharia courts to advise where it is agreed by ALL parties that they can do so…i suppose a form of arbitration rather than complete power of law.
Sorry about the rant guys but I am one of those who hopes there is a higher being i just dont trust those down here who choose to interpret its thinking !

I’m gonna set myself up for a flaming here:diablo: , but I was singularly underwhelmed when I recently saw BoB. I recorded it from Xmass and was really looking forward to seeing it again – last time was yonks ago.
OK – the flying/organisation/restoration/logistics etc. of putting this together was great…….but……the dialogue was terrible, the plot cliched, repetetive shots of planes taking off (sometimes mirror images)/gunners shooting, things exploding or falling out of the sky got quite irritating. The very weak plot was not helped by the wooden acting.
(The Spitfires were lovely though.):D
When PJ finishes remaking The Dambusters……….

Heritic ! 😮 hang your head in shame !! 😀
This film started me off on what has been a life time (so far!) interest in historical Aviation ..so it has a lot to answer for ! 🙂
Used to have most of the Chewing gum cards but lost them a few years later.
Pat
Ps That should read “Chinese hanger” ..the one right beside Shergar’s stable
at the back of the Stork Hotel. :dev2:
I’m not taking sides, but…let’s ask a question..
What’s the difference of a Mosquito going back to the land of its manufacture and the daily trade of Spitfires, Mustangs and Corsairs that freely go between the US, UK, AUS, NZ and Canada?
Many (most) current US Mustangs were at one time part of the RCAF (when surplused they went South as surplus US AC were sold/given way to govts. overseas or scrapped to avoid them going overseas illegally..the same thing happened with Sabres…). To perhaps stretch a point, If the Canadian govt calls the Mosquito an artifact…why not a Mustang, especially if it’s ex-RCAF?
Remember, it’s a two way street….
If Canada calls it a cultural treasure, what about the Halifax that went to Canada a few years back? It could have stayed where it was (Norway?) or claimed by the RAF. Playing this game could have repercussions down the road.I just get nervous when countries play the “Cultural artifact” game.
The historic aviation world may be the loser….especially if the proposed UK owner wants to restore it to flight.
Let’s see, an unrestored Mossie in western Canada…or a flying one in the UK?
Sorry, to my Canadian friends, no contest.
Couldnt have said it better myself !
I do have concerns about the validity of using an old a/c simply for its i/d so as to allow it to fly with minimal fuss !
Its a shame that more people cant go down the route of the FW190 “new builds” but i understand the financial costs would preclude many projects.
Lets get a Mossie back in the air !
A Stottie cake is a type of bread produced in the North East of England. It is a flat and round loaf eaten by Geordies

You would be amazed how much China and others do own, its called globalisation, ask MG/Rover about it.
Think you have missed the point…as happens !
You can hardly call Rover/MG as a major dominating part of the life of the UK.
Yes it was for those employed at Longbridge but hardly to the same level of importance as Oil is to the Iraqi’s !
Really Larry..i am disappointed !
No you hate America.
What is your point? America is involved in Iraq’s oil Industry, your point being?
Accusing someome of “Hatred” is a very serious issue…
Over here definately so;

Strange the mods havent taken you up on this before !
And why should any foreign nation have such a major dominating involvement in another countries principal source of wealth ? Would you like it if the Chinese or the Russians “owned” , for instance ,most of the oil refineries in the US or most of the Wheat mills or the Coal Mines ?
could be worse…..you could be an Arsenal fan this evening!!!:diablo:

Sooner see a Mossie back myself !
And wouldnt it be an easier proposition as a mostly wooden aircraft?
Might be a while before someone decides to spend the money on an air worthy Ju. After all its only comparitively recently that 190’s & 262’s started production again!
Twas 26 Oct 68. There were more items – including a “Proctuka”.
Tim
Read about the Proctukas but have never seen one are there any photos ?
Good one on the Hurrismit !
