Justify the needless deaths of millions from car wrecks, plane crashes, crime, starvation, on the job fatalities, child abuse, disease, drug adiction, etc. There’s a ton of needless death around the world. Where’s your so called concern for them?

with few exceptions these issues are not intentional…and where they are a lot of them are due to lack of concern or downright profit/lobby motivated “ignorance on behalf of various governments .

I think you will find that most of teh rest of the world is more wooried and concerned about the “innocent ” victims of a war..including the poor bods sent out to die in the trenches!!

How many of the Bush/chaney gang of oil barons and financial high flyers have died in the fields of Iraq or Afganistan??

If my thoughts are that of Hitler, then FDR, Churchill, Truman, Curtis LeMay, “Bomber” Harris, Patton, Monty, Nimitz among other Allied leaders who embraced total war to win the war thought like Herr Hitler as well. The bombing of the German and Japanese cities. The two atomic bombs. Bringing overwhelming firepower on towns that offered any kind of fight without regard for civilian deaths. They did what they had to do to win and end a destructive war.

Would it have been better if we just contained Germany and Japan instead of crushing them completely and making sure that democratic governments took root. (Apart from East Germany)

As a civilised person I don’t feel violence is justified. It can never be justified. But honestly, I hear right-wing Americans boast about how their country bombed other nations to the ground, it makes me sick.

I hope the American people now know what its like to come under attack.
