Haha Andy, I had the same, gearstick used to come out in my hand at the most inoportune times:)) Pete
I see three:)))) which one, main,interspar, or nose:)))Woops, must read 1st post…….. main :))
Seems like a ready made Miss Velma replacement to me…..
Hi BK, Dan is not keen on pics of his aircraft (EEMV) so I won’t post them, suffice to say he is busy with multiple projects so progress is slow, the Fury is still in sections but is being repaired. Meiers have just posted a pic on their FB page showing their T20 with an additional cooler fitted on the RH wing where the Tempest one mounts, not sure why this has been done, Pete
Glad to see the pilot is ok, those flickr pics show an amazing sequence, given the crop depth I am glad the wheels were back in transit to up as it could have easily ended up inverted, thanks to all that posted pics for those of us in other parts of the world, Pete
Guys, Iraqi Fury or not, they all have the ability to fold, this one has all the locking mechanisms already in place but no hydraulics to fold or lock, something I was working on before it left Oz. If anyone has some spare Dowty actuators please let me know……….:)) Pete
PM sent,thanks Mike
Yes Mike, does not have to be airworthy & blades need not be full length, cheers, Pete
Fantastic news Dave, great to see that more & more parts are making their way to this important project especially the engine!!! Pete
Does that mean it would have a hub spline pattern to suit the Bristol Hercules?? Is it up for disposal??
No, its the ex Bradshaw Fury that visited Oz fo 7 years, had a truckload of work done on it including a full engine strip & inspect, and then was test flown here before diassembly. Richard showed me pics of what it was to be painted when we disassembled it but the result is far better than I pictured, hoping for safe test flights over there!!!
The Fury is there, just going through assembly & certification now, has the same G rego as before :)))) I would have picked something a little diferent…..FURY perhaps:))))
Close Yak11, as far as I know it has been sold to a gent in France but is still at QG aviation in the US for completion, it is an ex Aussie Firefly I think….and rumoured to a very accurate restoration, I guess it will go to Legends for a visit once done, should be a thing of beauty!!
Doubt it, won’t be enough time to ship & reassemble after we finish test flying it here:))))
sorry:))))))))))
