I think it isn’t the reality. Why JH-7? It would be something if it was FC1 but even then it would be a paparazzi article…
Here’s how I envision the JH-7 and how it’ll prove itself:
Coupled with the C-802, the JH-7 is a deadly and dedicated
naval system for any armed forces. I meam imagine the Argintinians going
at it with the Brazilians, or maybe with the Bolivians, or, imagine them taking on the
Columbian druggies who might have infiltrated their jungles!
With the JH-7/C-802 combo, these guys’ll be toast for sure!!!
.
Bull sh*t article, so far FC-1 has only been powered by 100% Russian made RD-33 engine …
which is why i said it was clinton bashing at its best.
It is unbelievable that we still have posters among us that think that China is not able to produce technology the US “invented” in the 70’s. Most items have indeed dual use technology but the nations have enough engineers to produce the same with the help of improving economy. Since Fc1 is gradually improved to match newer threats it isn’t exactly a big wow to hear that is has some new items. The boycotting works not correctly if a country in between is willing to earn cash. Some items go to China through Pakistan. Some through Israel and some we not even know. If we are not suprised to know that almost everything Russian (maybe chinese) is tested in the US then why should we get angry if opposite happens? But it does add that Fc1 isn;t exactly low tech. That might hurt a few here. As usual.
😉
I don’t think people here,
as is elsewhere, ever heard of
the term “applied science” :o.
😉
it is a fact that Clinton was a pro-PRC president and favored china to have the MFN status for open trade including dual use technology transfer.
In the beginning of this year there was even a news that last days of Clinton also approved a merger of Chinese firm with a US firm that produced seekers for missiles and guidance related equipment. Congress demanded investigation into it but I think nothing came out of it.
Whether single crystal blade technology was transfered or not, we won’t know until Kun Lun’s specs are made public but fully FBW bit is true. Chinese have experimented it on K-8 platform as well as A-5 testbeds. Corbato would be a better person to explain.
US also allocated $300 million for pakistan related military sales in its own militay budget which speaks volume of bypassing the congress approval hurdle.
I would not be surprised that, four years herewith, that the same charges
may be laid on GW. Hey! Someone has to shoulder the blame you know. I mean have any
of you seen how mad Clinton was when he was interviewed in ABC or whichever network yesterday???
Man! He was furious when he lashed out like that and who can blame him!
Shall the world bid Chandrayaan a big welcome???
Well! Of course it should!
India debates manned space flight as its lunar mission readies
http://www.spacedaily.com/2004/041121010819.7rhg8skj.html
BANGALORE, India (AFP) Nov 21, 2004
India’s space agency is ready to send a man to space within
seven years if the government gives the nod, while preparations have already begun
for the launch of an unmanned lunar mission, a top official said.
After all, science is a universal thingy. Thus, the more the rest
of the world gets itself involved, the more the progress for mankind and the less
“space become a monopolized entity” of the rich and the previllaged.
There must be no borders in this universe of ours.
The technology was transferred to the PRC during the US Clinton Administration.
😮
How convienent!
:p Exactly one day after Clinton comes out into
the open and b*tched about ABC’s (Or was CBS’s?) picking on him every
time Ken Starr opens up his can of worms :p ???
Clinton bashing at its best over Presidential library, my opinion!!!!
😮
Is this the beginning of the end of the life of the ISS?
http://www.mosnews.com/news/2004/11/18/issnotlifted_.shtml
beside this incident, many “minor incidents” had occurred recently….
How’s about a new begining although I’m reluctant
about the proposal? However, by so doing, the ISS would at long last “trully
be an international organization” and not an institution for the
previllage and the exclusive, which is what is currently.
But, the six million dollar question is this: Will the above ever happen?
I highly doubt it!
.
That’s not a conclusive evidence of photoshopping. The changes you describe can be attributed to the slight waves bobbing in the harbor. I’ve been to China quite a few times and I’m familiar with both the lighting and the water conditions in their harbors.
Photoshopping don’t cover a range of pictures each taken with a slightly different angle, with consistent lighting angles in every one of them to begin with.
The pics are too intricately busy for PS, too many wires around, birds flying around and so on.
I would not rule out the possibility, Crobe. Here’s an example:
http://bbs.china.com/military/html/board_57_post/716416/3006210.html
Cultripts: Islanders ****ed with mainlader progress; anti-Beijing factions
(democracy people’s) within the Chinese community who can’t stand this achievement; even Japanese
due that does not believe the chinese are slowly but surely taking over as Asia’s next giant…
Photoshops like that are, IMHO, a joke played on the Chinese…
.
Of course, if one is only willing to take
in govt propoganda, then the scenario of a P-3 buzzing a
fighter jet  would be very conceivable…
😉
Actually, the perception
I have is based on the reflections I have of my
own personal experiences.
I mean haven’t you ever come across the experiences
whereby you happens to meet up with this macho and husky-looking
truck driver behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler and he’s blasting away with
that horn of his in attempts to force you to move over?
I mean, Man!!! You better pull over and let him pass
if you know what’s good for you, because, he could care less if yours
is a Ferrari speedster with 400 horses under the hood.
Russian roullete, it’s all about dare and daring.

😮
Any of you experts pinpoint this monster?

Looks Bird of Prey to me.
Then again, it isn’t. A competitor by
Lockheed Martin, maybe?
Also, the continent of Atlantist:

Cool! I guess the folklore’s for real…
😮
Su-27… intercept US Navy… over the Black Sea
Good heavens! Guess there’s no “I dare you Russian
roulette 18 wheeler heavy weight championship daredevil acts”
against fighter jets being played out this time around.

Not wise to fool around with Grizzlies I guess because the
species isn’t quite the same as the beneign and harmless kind known as Pandas.
Then again, guess Grizzlies ain’t what it use to be either.

My admirations to the Chinese for the cool and mature manner
for which they had handled this tiny tiny little incident. As promised, they did
investigated. And, as necessary, they did issued a formal apology.
China ‘sorry’ over mystery sub
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4015211.stm
The incident sparked a two-day chase by Japan’s navy
China has apologised for what it called an accidental incursion by one of its
submarines into Japanese waters last week, Tokyo has said.
A congenital rule of the sea we must expect every now and then, maybe???
A great big
to the Chinese for their courage.
