With an aircraft with the engines on the tail I think the best idea is to land on the belly because the gear wouldn’t survive the stress anyway? Otherwise in normal aircraft, a belly landing would probably make a small (HUGE) explosion; or are the engine connections so strong they can support the aircraft’s weight including stress from the ground on a landing in just a field?

The link that Bmused posted is excellent. What make it even better is the letters on the landing gear doors (don’t know the technical name!) – SKY.
I don’t think it has a specific name; but thes eletters are the last two or three letters of the registration so ground staff don’t have to walk to the tail or wing to see what plane it is.
Probably also for seeing traffic; for the days back before we had HSI LCD’s with traffic on it.
And INNEFICIENT!
It is and, so succesful! I wonder at what aircraft they are currently looking at!

They want compensation from mother nature!!!!!!
No, they should be ready to clear up the snow. This has to be done in maximum one hour, at least the runway. Throwing salt on the runway could also be useful if there is snow forecasted, or would the engines suck it all up anyway?
A day off at school because of the weather? That’s ridiculous! Lazy!
I KNOW how it is there of course. Now only if the people’s hair style was better!!!

It was a plane with a maximum seating for 25 passengers. It’s not known how many people were on board.
LAGOS, Nigeria (CNN) — A small plane has crashed in the water off a beach in the Nigerian city of Lagos, and a search and recovery operation will begin at dawn Saturday, emergency officials told CNN.
There was no initial word on casualties and it is not known how many people were in the craft.
Wreckage has not surfaced at the site of the crash, less than a kilometer from the shore.
Scores of onlookers were at the beach, but night fell five hours after the crash occurred without crews appearing at Goshen Beach, the scene of the crash.
“We were working when we saw a plane turning and twisting in the air. Then suddenly it plunged into the ocean and we heard a loud explosion,” construction worker Sikiru Akanbi told Reuters.
Search and recovery operations will begin at sunrise Saturday.
Navy divers and the Nigerian Maritime Authority will be involved in the search.
Initially, witnesses said the craft was a 25-seat charter helicopter.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country witnessed its last major plane crash in May 2002 when a BAC 1-11-500 plane operated by EAS Airlines crashed in Kano, killing more than 100 people.

I ordered mine at keypub and had to wait two weeks for it because they were out of stock and didn’t notify me untill I unhappily mailed them about where it was. At least they found out what was going on; good service.

It’s ok… average. This is a new addition to the fleet! Does anybody know where it comes from?
The logojet will soon be repainted (advertising the Flemish newspaper “De Financieel Economische Tijd” (the Financial Economical Times)), because their name changed to simply “De tijd” (The Times).
Big mistake because you payd 1/4th or so more. IT’ll take about 4 weeks I think.
