One question that hasn’t been asked yet is “What’s the going rate?” 😀

The TV’s are new LCD screens but not the flip down type as can be seen from the housings, the 757 shown is G-BYAH and ‘AL is undergoing conversion. A couple of the 762’s also have this new style cabin already installed, the 763’s wont be upgraded just yet. Plan is to have 11 757’s converted this year with the remainder next year, target time is 21 days per converison (usually tied in with maintenance)

Having spent yesterday at LTN with the 757 I can say its actually a nice interior. The Boeing designed cabin works very well is much lighter and seems to give more space. Seat pitch is exactly the same but due to the clever design of the leather clad Recaro seats there is more leg room.

Happy Boeing and Thomson people, the hosties are wearing the new Thomsonfly uniform too.

G-BYAL under C check and the next to be converted

SPT, you may want to look at the spec and read some of the reviews for the new Fuji S3 which has a whole array of different colour spaces to replicate film, alas its too slow for real action use but for other uses it seems to be going down a storm.

I would go along with advice to buy the best glass that you can, doesnt matter if you have a D70/300D or D2X/1D2 digital will show up any weakness in a lens.

Never had any problems in using 1GB storage apart from an early IBM Microdrive which gave up the ghost, the latter Hitachi ones are of a higher spec and seem to be okay.

I agree with Damien that the current bunch of DSLR’s are more than capable of producing images that are the equal/if not better than film and certainly for commercial use they are much better.
