    The Mustang is a two-seater…

Can’t which magazine I read that in, but I did see pics. I’m thinking that this would be an additional Mustang instead of a replacement.

Does anyone know the status of the other Beaufighters (Skysport and HARS IIRC) under restoration? I believe that the HARS airframe will be a composite when completed.

Could I get a list of all the aircraft in the museum’s possession (including serial numbers and current status–assuming aircraft are in storage or restoration)?

It’s not a swastika at all (I’ve forgotten its name, however).

Also, don’t the arms point in different directions?

    Isn’t the twin-engine a French WW2 Fighter? Bloch, if I’m not mistaken.

Understood registration was cancelled two or three months ago.

    Boomerangs…Over 25 in existence
    Dw. 520s…1 or 2?

Others…that’s the point of this thread, I want to know the same stuff.

Lesser-known aircraft do not include (in my opinion, anyway) Mustang, Spit, Hurricane, Jug, Lightning etc. Those are definitely not. However, some you mentioned are kinda in a “grey area” meaning not exactly lesser-known, but not the most famous either (I-16/I-153/Boomerang). I probably should have worded the question something along the lines of “surviving warbirds built by countries invaded by Germany during WWII with the exception of Russia.”

Yes, Chuckie is one of the 13 flying B-17s I mentioned. When Aluminum Overcast had the gear collapse, we only had 12 flying. Chuckie made it number 13. If you noticed, I had 53 (complete and partial airframes). One cockpit section was reported to be in PA.

Sorry, I’m new at this. I’ll edit my post. (I wrote “smiley face” as a note to self in Word to insert smiley faces). You may have noticed that the now deleted paragraph was a condensation of stuff I read on the Sally B threads/most overrated bomber threads that I was making fun of. Everything else is serious–I tried to answer questions people had asked. As I work on Doc, expect the fact that I’ll take offense at anything bad about Forts/Superforts.

Yeah, I should have mentioned I was looking for OBSCURE types–you know, those not normally brought up in normal conversation. It was very late at night for me, so I wasn’t thinking too clearly. Tried the registry, found it was not as complete and did not have any combat gliders. Also, Scott told me he would not be putting the Beaufighter/Beaufort lists out till after he finishes the T-6 registry (I assume that its gonna be a long time). All the stuff I’m looking for will be going on a website I’ll be putting up this summer (Its nearly completed). I was/still am looking for all surviving WWII aircraft (static, flying, whatever).
