that is truly wonderful Alex, you have my admiration,
nice moody Jet 2 capture, great set,
nice set
quite like the Jet 2, brings a touch of colour to a dull day
thanks
I’ve just got one and it does seem to work well, very simple in fact, so maybe this is the way to go
love to see your tiger
thanks guys
one thing that bugs me is I used a very thin coat of Tamiya smoke to replicate the typical exhaust stain that 190s have but the matt varnish has made it almost invisible, so plan 2, don’t what that is yet, maybe a thin coat of dark brown mixed with black, I know that German fuel was very sooty,
it’s all a learning curve for me, all ideas gratefully received
one coat of matt varnish and a dirty wash, still a bit more weathering to do but I’m not too unhappy with it

There’s a York to the left of the windsock (and a Hermes? to the right) but I mean directly under the CV-240 tail…maybe a silver Lincoln?
I think you’re right a Lincoln is favourite
Under the tail of the Swissair CV-240 on RWY28R/10L (seven down)there’s what looks like a Lancastrian….I wonder whose that was?….1953 is late for that type
looks like a York to me, that would be more current
Don’t want to sound a smartarse but try whitetack next time(it does not leave any residue) The 190 is beginning to look really good. I am waiting to see the finished article.:)
sorry, should have been more precise it was white tack, I read about blue tack
great to see a photo of a RAF Sabre, don’t see too many of them, especially at Heathrow
nice set,
a big 757 is unusual for us in the south, at last a Virgin A320 in the UK
I love Shannon, it’s always been somewhere to see rare planes there’s nowhere like it in the UK
nice to see LAK again, one of my first Connies as BOAC
very nice capture
what a great project, I’m looking forward to seeing it progress
thanks Matthias
